Quick remove for the rear window would be a perfect product to get their name on the map of Bronco accessories!! I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Unhook the struts, unhook the defrost wires, and then pop off the disconnects where the bolts would be and that's all.

That's a good way to end up with no defrost, as the connectors aren't attached to the window all that solid. The connection is NOT designed to be disconnected and reattached multiple times.

2 Door owners that frequently take the entire roof off regularly would like an easily removable tonneau/ cargo area cover. The only ones I've ever seen for 2 Door are permanent installation.

I second this but for 4 & 2 door. We own both and run roofless half the year

This exactly. Something that goes all the way from the front seats to the tailgate, with the rear seats folded down. And mounts into the same mounting points as the hard top. Unlike others, I don't care if it's waterproof or hard/soft. Just something to keep cargo out of sight.

I would imagine the kit would address that as I think, unfortunately, we are all aware of how delicate Ford made those connections. Perhaps adding an adhesive reinforcement to where it attaches to the window, and then rather than disconnecting it from the window, adding one of those waterproof connectors or a quick disconnect like some dashcams use could be good. You'd have to snip the wires and crimp or solder the connector in line but it'd be worth it I'm sure.

We have both a 2 and 4 door. We’ve bought all the soft cargo covers on the market for the 4 door and all of them are garbage. You wouldn’t want any of them for your 2 door. They are all ill fitting and begin to tear and flap after a year or less. A good fitting canvas or marine vinyl cover that holds its shape by using the rear clamshell bolt points is what is needed IMO. All currently available use Velcro and lack a sturdy insert to hold the form of the cargo area. I’m leaning toward a box insert at this point but would much prefer a well designed soft tonneau cover

That 's a good summary of the biggest issue with Bronco tonneaus...

Because there is no bulkhead, air gets under the cover when moving forward at speed, and velcro attachments are quickly overwhelmed by the air pressure. That problem doesn't affect truck tonneaus since the bulk of air is blocked by the front bulkhead of the bed.

On Wranglers, there is a lip all around the rear of the tub, designed for the rear windows to slot into, making it easy to design a tonneau using that same attachment method.

On the 4 Door Bronco there is an entire bottom frame for the soft top that provides those window attachment points, Unfortunately, that sub frame comes off with the soft top.

I believe the solution to this for both 4 and 2 door tonneaus would be to make rails like the Havoc or the Trektop softtops use with a ridge for a bead in the cloth, But those are custom formed/stamped/fabricated steel rails and would add considerable cost. While I'd pay $300~400 for something like that, it's a lot for such a simple accessory to most folks.

Yes, ideally like the roller-blind style we have with our Escape. Though, as I remember when looking at the back, the shape is too odd for a rectangular cover like that, so I'd be fine with something that just attached or snapped on.

Some possible ideas ... a) eye/sun glass or money holder that attaches to the sun shades, but is not doesn't degrade their performance and is not obvious, b) for manual transmissions, a T-handle grip (similar to the old Hurst shifters) with finger grooves, c) mud flaps that are 2-piece that allow them to be raised during off-roading and lowered for protection on the street, d) a molle panel that fits behind the back set that closes off access by folding seats down (try to make it compatible with existing cargo area shelves turning the area into a semi-safe/anti theft), e) a plastic molded air duct with adjustable vents that would replace the existing stock underseat venting for Broncos with manual transmissions (larger vent size and adjustable air flow).

You might guess that I have a Bronco with a manual transmission, but surprisingly, lots of folks on this site also have them. Lots of fun to drive!!
