I know this has been asked before but for the love of God, I cannot decide.
I have been leaning towards the 285/70r17 but then I always go back to the 35's (315/11.5r17 to be specific). I am planning to get the 2 inch lift/level kit and I am aware that I have to remove the crash bars. this bronco is my daily so that is the reason I have been leaning more towards the 285/70r17 but then again.... bigger is better.

So far i have installed running boards, front/rear bumpers, and did a muffler delete.

I am a little worried because it is a 3.73 so the 35's may do some damage and I do plan on getting the ford performance tune after I swap the wheels fwiw.

I am mainly looking for some photos of a 2-door with either 35's or 33 for comparison. The rims that Ive ordered has a 0mm offset.

TIA
I have the stock 285/70R17 on a set of Rocktrix 17x9 +12 offset rims with just a 1" level kit on front. Thinking about a set of 305/70R17 when these wear out but still undecided.

Damn that bronco is a beast! good job man. I dont care too much for the 4-door but whenever i see the 2-door out on the road - makes my head turn for sure and cant stop staring. Love what youve done to your bronco.

I went Baja Boss AT 285/70 on my big bend with the 3.73 rear end. Totally changed the look. You can definitely feel the added weight, can't imagine how sluggish it would feel with 35s and the 3.73s.
Thanks so much for this! i have that same exact bronco, same color. Couldnt have asked for a better photo. may I ask what the offset of those wheels are?

I have a daily driver and went with 285s (33) on Blank Rhino Shoguns. Love the “Black out” look and the BFG TA K03 are a really smooth and quiet ride. Having lots of fun with my girl this summer!

No, left those stock. Just changed out the tires, rims, and shocks. Didn't need to remove the crash bars either and with the +30 offset rims I don't have any rubbing.
This is exactly what I am looking for. I can't stand poke, so 285 is max for non SAS, and 75 is to get some lift, but was concerned about rub... What rims you have???

285/70r17 BFG KO3 on Black Diamond alloys. 3.73 gears are fine with this setup. I’m wary of going larger due to stress on the transmission/drivetrain. on a 2 door I don’t think it’s necessary (aesthetically) and for my needs off road, the 33” tires provide adequate clearance.

Go with the 35's and call it a day. My son has a '24 2.3l 3.73 gears and runs 35's without issue. The only place I notice it, and it's really just noticing the gearing, is going up hills it'll hold the gears longer. Other then that, it moves just fine, and will out accelerate (from a stop) my 2.7l 4.70 gears and 35's.

I have the RTR Evo +30 17" rims. I know people have put the 34s on stock BB rims but I've heard of rubbing on the turns. +30 is the same offset as Badlands and Sas, the poke is perfect for me, not sticking out a lot, but just enough to give it more balance and a little look. The big thing also with tires is weight, these rims are light, which is another reason I chose them, but with rotational mass not all weight is created equal. I have the Toyo AT3 C load I think they're 60lbs, but height wise, 285/70s are around 32.7", 285/75 is around 33.9 so it definitely gives it a bigger tire look without going full 35s. I've been happy with the setup, I did calibrate the speedometer, but no issues with the gearing, only notice it on larger hills or going up the mountains, and I don't have a tune either which would help

My personal plan is 33's, 285/70/r17 on my big bend. Right now I am on the stocker 32s on badlands rims. I've got 4.46 (manual) but I don't see the value in going bigger than 33s on a daily driver. I wouldn't even begin to consider 35s until I found myself doing something that requires bigger tires than 33s. I'd certainly not do it as a fashion accessory.

Go 35s and lock it out of 9th and 10th gear.
