Hey everyone. Wanted to share something I built.
I had a 2024 with the factory wireless charging pad and it was terrible. When I got my 2026, I wanted to add an OEM-looking wireless phone charger that was MagSafe.
After testing several, I settled on a charger from Amazon that's Qi2 certified, has TEC cooling, strong magsafe magnets, and does 25W super fast charging.
I then designed several custom 3D printed parts to fit the phone in the factory location. These are printed in carbon fiber ASA, which matches the factory rubber mat really well.
The charger housing I made preserves the venting and is removable from the top side if it ever needs to be replaced after the initial install due to failure or whatever. I also used a piece of vinyl to cover the charger's logo so it blends in and looks even more factory.
I made a drill template to perfectly align the charger on the factory rubber mat. I then created a template to cut the mat exactly around the charger, so it fits right up against it.
For power, I tapped into the factory 12V cigarette adapter in the center console and ran the charging cable from there using a plug and play harness, so I didn't have to cut any factory wires.
All in all, I'm really happy with how it turned out. It works great and even has an ice blue light that matches the OEM lighting.
Before anyone asks, no, I'm not handing out the STL files yet. I'm considering selling this as a DIY kit and haven't fully decided, so I'm weighing my options before releasing anything. I put a lot of time into engineering this.
