We have been spending a lot of time looking at how everyone utilizes the rear cargo space for overlanding, and one topic that keeps coming up in our design meetings is sleep setups. Since the TrailDeck creates a flat, solid rolling platform, we are considering developing a custom sleep system or mattress specifically designed to work with it for quick car camping.
Instead of just choosing one material from the start, we want to hear directly from the community about what actually works best on the trail.

Instead of just choosing one material from the start, we want to hear directly from the community about what actually works best on the trail.
What we are looking to find out
- Current setups: Do you currently sleep inside your Bronco, and if so, what kind of mattress setup are you using right now?
- The ideal material: If you could have a custom sleep system built for the TrailDeck, what type would you prefer? Are you a fan of ultra compact inflatable air mattresses, heavy duty self inflating foam pads, or thick foldable memory foam blocks?
- The main pain points: What is the biggest issue you face when trying to sleep in a 4 Door Bronco regarding leveling, padding, or storage space that a new design needs to fix?
