I’m curious if changing the drive shaft is half the fix. Perhaps the whole fix is ford looking at the exhaust pipe and the factory installed heat shielding. Are our shields installed incorrectly? Kinda makes sense why we keep having to replace shafts while also seeing improvements with aftermarket shields.

I have the same issue on day 1 with my new bronco Sasquatch. After browsing the 14 pages, it seems that there is no permanent solution yet?

Best one so far is to use a cheap exhaust heat shield. So far it’s worked for me and I haven’t heard the squeal ever since

2023 V6 2 door Bandlands here with 2300 miles. Heard this noise last night for the first time after a long 45 min drive. It was obvious and pretty loud and sounded exactly like the videos and came from the front of the truck.

Parked it for the night and the noise was gone in the morning but I haven't had the chance the drive it to warm it up.

I'm sure it's the same driveshaft issue. I'm gonna add the heatshield to it to see if that fixes it. Seems like replacing the driveshaft is only a temp fix. The heatshield might be the only solution...

I brought my bronco to the dealer for a second time yesterday to figure out the rotational whirring/scratching sound. I really thought it was the same issue as this thread...same sounds, but at higher speeds. After a recent road trip, I noticed my rear tires were cupping. These are fairly new tires, so I was pretty sure the balance on them was good. Dropped the Bronco off yesterday for an early oil change and to have them inspect the wheel bearings and entire rear diff and driveshaft. The verdict...ring and pinion is bad. New parts arrive on Wednesday and hopefully I get it back that day or Thursday. Fingers crossed that ends my quest for pinpointing the annoying rotational whirring/scratching noise.

Hello Bronco Brothers!

I come from Ranger6g forums with a 2025 Ranger XLT 4x4 2.3L. (6k miles) I have my truck in the shop for the same issue as described here, and so far, even though i pointed the dealer to the same place, it sits without a resolution. At least a few other Rangers are experiencing the same, mainly the newer 2025 2.3l. My dealer sucks, but I will also point them to this thread as well, not that they'll pay any mind....

I finally got around to doing this on my '21 2.7. This week will be a perfect test to see if the heat shield fix works. It's supposed to be about 100 degrees here all this week. I already had the front drive shaft fixed via the recall that was out but this chirping noise has annoyed me in the summer for the past few years.

It's been almost a year and so far still no squeaking after putting in the heat shield.
