Iām curious if changing the drive shaft is half the fix. Perhaps the whole fix is ford looking at the exhaust pipe and the factory installed heat shielding. Are our shields installed incorrectly? Kinda makes sense why we keep having to replace shafts while also seeing improvements with...
I took the heat shield off my bronco after getting the front drive shaft replaced. Itās been 3,000 miles and the noise is coming back. I had a feeling I should have played it safe with keeping it on.
I wonder if our broncos are doomed to have this noise forever? What sets our broncos apart...
Unfortunately my bronco is at the dealership waiting to get a new front drive shaft. I should hopefully have it back by the end of the week to get you pictures.
The FP exhaust options are the same muffler but different tip options. Itās supposedly similar to the borla s type per other forums. I got the high clearance option which you can see in the video. Do note that I have the 2.7L engine so the sound will be different.
I traded my fusion hybrid for my bronco. I knew at that point that high mpg will never bring me as much joy as driving the bronco. I went from 40mpg to 16mpg and itās been 100% worth it. However it would be nice if Washington state would stop passing gas taxes for the fun of it.
Just got a phone call from the dealership. They confirmed the noise and pinpointed it to the CV boot for the front driveshaft. Just like many others have stated. I hope the replacement shaft doesnāt repeat the issue.
I too have the ford performance exhaust. I went with the high clearance option which tucks up nicely and is nearly impossible to see when walking by it. The install was very easy.
Inside the vehicle was surprisingly louder than expected which Iām okay with. My wife hates it š
Honestly I really...
Funny Iāve been meaning to update this thread the past week. Over the winter it was fine for the most part with the cold weather, but lately the noise comes back every time I drive. So I think the issue has progressively gotten worse since last summer. I was looking at it yesterday and I was...
I had the same issue this week. It jumped 7 minutes forward so then I fixed it. Then the next time I started it up it was 7 minutes in the other direction. I toggled auto time update to āonā and I havenāt had problems since.
Some reports say bronco sports while others say broncos. Perhaps itās worth looking into

I really like their headlights and tail lights. My black diamond came with basic lights. The cost is the only thing holding me back. A bundle package at discounted price would be a good idea to appeal to folks wanting to make an all around change. How about it Form Lighting?
I have the BD fog light kick on my modular bumper.
Legally it must be SAE if you are running them on public roads. I have the squadron SAE and they do have a sharp cutoff from blinding oncoming traffic. My S2 lights would surely blind everyone and get me pulled over or in a wreck.

Well unfortunately I did have a day where the chirping came back after sitting in 1.5 hours of stop/go traffic. However outside of that itās completely gone. So itās not a perfect fix but whole lot better. I used to get it almost every day. Below are pictures.
The dealership was unable to fix the noise. I installed a DEI heat shield like how another person in this thread recommended. Itās located on the exhaust pipe just under the CV boot. It has worked like a charm. The noise has completely gone away even after an hour of driving.
$60 and 10 minutes...
Iām new to this website and really appreciate all the helpful videos and discussions.
Iāve got a 2023 black diamond with just over 3k miles that is making the same exact noise. I was able to get it into my local dealership yesterday and today they confirmed hearing a noise, but they want to...
