I've had these at 70mph in the whoops and the harder I pushed the smoother they got. Honestly I was scared going that fast. It was controlled and smooth but my brain was saying this shouldnt be happening in this Bronco. Beyond impressed with these and the dials make it easy to switch between rocks, desert, or on road. Here's my guide.

***In all of these, please play with each click; they actually DO make a noticeable difference.

Might be a dumb question, but on you on road settings, I do not understand what you mean by "3/9". Does that mean the 3rd click of the 9 available? Thanks, my shocks are arriving today, probably will not get them installed for a couple of weeks, but I'm trying to figure out where I want to start out on adjustment.

You got it. Click 3 out of 9. So open fully lefty loosey then go +3 in. Make sense? Also, there is a break in period. They may feel "stiff or sporty" to start so dont be surprised. Get out on open desert or fire road and run these puppies. They're incredible.

Great, thanks for the clarification and the suggestions. Can't wait to get them on!

Thanks, I make me feel a lot better knowing how much I spent on them!

Dont forget, you're getting something better than a full mid travel kit for a fraction of the cost. No limit straps, bump stops, or bypasses. Its built into one shock with the 8112. Wait till you click 70+ over some whoops. you'll get it then :) Just be careful with liquid encouragement... These are confidence inspiring but you're not in a full blown trophy truck.

Exactly :) I have KINGs on mine and they rock.....but really not like these. I drive fast on narrower rocky trails and it's solid. BUT - I still have to worry about over-extension and bottoming-out. Not with the 8112s!!!!!

Just got them installed. Drove about 65 miles home. Feels good so far only issue I had was that I had the stock shocks and UCAs in the back clanking around in the back making the experience a little less enjoyable. The installer told me the he placed all setting right in the middle and that I should not adjust them until 1500 miles, is that correct? Doesn't seem right to me? Thanks

Congrats getting them on. That advise makes no sense. Nor does it say that in the manual

Gotta break the coils in to see what the final ride height is. You can figure out how much they should settle and get the final ride height close or just…set it at the middle…then get it aligned

Has anyone hit their front resi when rock crawling? It looks like aftermarket bash plates and even the stock bash plate would leave the front resi exposed for rock crawling.

I think I confused this. The clanking parts are the stock parts that were taken off and placed in a box in the back of the Bronco. Once I took all the old stuff out of the back, I went out last night and bombed the beat up road that I live off of and these shocks are incredible. The ride was great, control great, no more jitters on the smaller bumps. Very impressed.

The instructions from Bilstein basically tell you where to set them for the desired lift height (1.4" Front, 0.5" Rear for my model) They actually come out of the box set at max suggested lift for my model. I think they factor in break in. I don't plan on changing the ride height again.
