Ford is seeing slowing demand (as do other manufacturers) and has high debt. Poor quality and broad recalls are hurting the bottom line. Additionally, they pushed hard into EV and it’s coming back to haunt them - massive write-offs.

Bronco inventories are growing…good for the buyer, bad for Ford.

Won’t argue with the first part, but Bronco sales keep increasing along with production. So, Ford seems to have good faith in being able to sell them. At the current rate, Bronco might be able to dethrone the Wrangler soon.

It's good news that the Bronco is one of Fords few bright spots for sales this year. Expect more cool accessories and features as Ford doubles down on Bronco stuff. "The best is yet to come"

Wow. Bronco, Explorer, and Mustang are the only bright spots on this report. Brutal numbers for EV’s.

Next shoe to drop in the "ev" world, is the overwhelming "tech" dashboards. While I'm sure the current lending environment plays a notable role (although Bronco's aren't exactly cheap), I think the Expedition's results speak to my point somewhat. It got scratched off our list of potential replacements for the aging Mercedes GLS we have. All it took was 3 minutes sitting in it to turn us off.

I don't understand why Gen X (my generation), which is now coming into their wealth period with capabilities to make such large purchases, are being skipped over for the Millennial (and maybe even Gen Z) in terms of deployment of the "tech". Nobody I know (I'm 52) likes what they've done to the interior dash of the Expedition, Navigator and I think the Nautilus. Pilar to Pilar of screens, is just useless, ugly, and annoying. We're all drowning in passwords. What happened to making a nice and relaxing cabin to spend time in? The new Expedition feels like you're driving a submarine now. I don't need the f'n weather forecast on my dashboard!!! I can look right out side to see what it's doing!!

It annoys me so badly now, that in my series of buttons I hit when I start the Bronco, is the one that turns off the infotainment screen in general, and I consider it to be one of the most user-friendly setups in the automotive world.

I mean my Navigator is quite relaxing, even massages me with some ambiance in the background. While I wasn’t keen initially on the dash I actually came to really like it. I don’t spend too much time focusing on it despite it being so up front. The steering wheel shape is rather comfortable too. Though yes having to adjust the vents with the screen and the steering wheel and mirrors through menu layers using touchpads is a bit nuanced but eventually becomes muscle memory.

I can certainly understand the appeal to some, and I am certain to lose this debate as time is marching forward without me. It just goes against my OCD of things being placed where things need to be placed. To me, all of the screens just feels like the driver's instrument cluster of yesteryear is now scattered all over the place, and it just doesn't speak to me enough to be willing to stroke such a large check for it. I get why manufacturers are doing it too, it's certainly a lot cheaper to manufacture and probably a lot cheaper to warranty repair (look how cheap TV's are now).

To me, this below was the perfect interior, and was willing to pay the price premium for it. Even still, it's a digital cluster, but everything seemed to be where I'm used to it being, where I want it.

Just feels like they tried hard to make the dash as beautiful as possible. The materials, the designs, how it all flowed. Best I can describe it is a leather band wrist watch vs an iWatch world...
