In my case, I got my tune under lease, done by the dealer I leased from. Lease will run out before tune's Ford Performance Warranty will.
I will definitely ask how the tune affects an ESP before buy out.
Love the Bronco, love the tune.
I don't have any experience with the 2.7 or 2.3s prior to 2025, but the 2025 2.3 is a very good 4 cylinder, imo. The torque is EV-fun.
Maybe the dealer had it tuned?
4cyl? I'd say yes, based on my experience with a 25 4cyl auto big bend with sasquatch. I suspect the tune complements the sasquatch gearing more than the lower ratios.
it can def be DIY, but iirc you need a certified tech to do it to carry the warranty.
I've had it for a month or so, and I'd say it's worth it. The added torque is early on, noticeable and where it should be. I'd swear the engine sounds a little deeper, even from outside, and you will definitely hear the turbo hiss more often and a bit louder. So there's some fun and performance...
Just got my 2025 2.3L pro cal tuned--Big Bend 4 Door w/ Sasquatch.
Running 93, immediate differences seem to be a good amount more pull early on, a deeper purr from the engine/exhaust, and the turbo engages more frequently with a louder hiss.
It definitely feels more fun. Wish I had dyno or...
Delaware--I'm about 6 months into a lease, so I have to have a dealer do it.
If you are on the fence with the higher install cost, I can let you know next week if I think it was worth it.
