I like Filson (bomb proof gear) and like the collab and the result.

That said, I'm quite surprised they not only gave it the Raptors 3.0, but as per Fords official word (posted prior by @HighVelocity), are also giving it the exact same power as the Raptor (418 hp).

It's my observation that brands are extremely hesitant to dillute halo brand key features/specs. Sure they will use the naming and make lesser models (e.g. BMW M and Toyota TRD) but are careful not to fully encroach on thinks like engine, power, etc.
You make a good point here about the Raptor engine and power, but let's look a bit deeper.

I imagine that the Braptor is about to get a real serious power bump, by that I do mean the long requested V8 and I'd bet that happens next year.

With the Bronco Filson being an actual trim and not special edition, I think Ford wanted to offer a high end option that isn't as "Hell Yeah!" as the Braptor, even in looks and size. Sure there are guys who love the ostentatious stance of the Braptor (me included), but a more subtle approach with high power and more refinement has it's market as well and that's what Filson allows.

When I think about and look at all of the Filson gear and clothing that I have, this is what I've been thinking when making these purchases over the last 10-12 years. Rugged quality so I"m not always in tech shirts and t-shirts when out in the woods. I wanted that old school, masculine, rugged gear that I could take and wear anywhere. No, I don't hike in Filson stuff, but I do camp and wheel in and with it during Fall and Winter especially.

A 2 Door Bronco Filson would have almost made me trade in as much as a 2 Door Braptor would. I like the set up in Green that much.

Thing is, the 2-door 2.3 BL I'm forced into to get what I want has a list of over $60K as it is, so it would be a complete no-brainer to spring for a 2-door Filson with the upgrades. But they'll never build it.
You’re talking about my rig. ;-) Depends on the final price. I looked hard af the 2DR Stroppe, with the 2.7 and all optioned up, but at $78K (and with that paint job), I decided to just add upgrades to the BL and the final price was $61. Different engine and paint wasn’t worth $17K. I’m going to imagine the Filson will be in the Stroppe MSRP ballpark, even if there eventually is a 2DR.

Well-said. I think a lot of folks here don’t appreciate how polarizing the Raptor styling is. I appreciate it, and the vehicle is a beast. I get it, and I understand. But I’d never buy one, and cost is not the issue. The Raptor is not the ‘halo’ brand for the Bronco. It’s its own thing.

The Filson trim isn’t going to compete (much) with the Raptor. It’s going after a different demographic, one that the Raptor's aggressive styling doesn’t appeal to.

Yes I believe that is true. My 2026 is really so so much quieter from my 2021. The 2021 has the lux package as well at the 26. My 2026 has that new soundscreen acoustic glass and improved seals I believe.
FTR, I'm very happy how quiet my '25 HE is.

Well I’m in as long as ford/dealers don’t jack with the price, I’ve been saying it since day one should have offered the 3.0 in the bronco
Personally, I don't know why Ford can't drop a coyote in a Bronco.

Will the defrost connector covers on the tailgate window be included on all Broncos moving forward, or is this a "special feature" unique to the Filson edition?

Yes they do look better but for me not functional especially during bird season with my dogs with a 2dr I’d have to tear the back seats out and build some sort of platform to flatten everything out without loosing height, with the 4dr all I do is permanently fold the seats down and cut a truck bed mat to shape and cover everything and done $120 bucks for a bed mat
Permanently folded down seats plus $200 in 2 dr for the dog

To much head room lost there I run Weimaraners they are tall I can’t lose any height, besides that to my knowledge you can only get the 4cyl in the 2dr anymore that’s a 100% deal breaker in itself for me I’m perfectly fine with the 4dr it’s functional for my needs I was just agreeing that the 2dr does look better

I seriously doubt ford is going to do a v8 there’s a massive amount of fab work to shoehorn the 5.0 in there being its a modular engine and ridiculously wide imo I think it would be more likely that they use the 3.5 ecoboost possibly the HO from the f150 raptor just seems more likely, unless mopar scared them with stuffing v8’s in everything in the next 4 years including srt variants

The “mid 70k” range might more so like the Slade truck’s “below 20k”, by the time it comes out it’s for sure going to be higher.
With 3.0 and power step, “mid 70k” sounds too good to be true
Starts in the mid 70s but everyone on the lots will be $89,999

its too wide

if they got rid of the 2 dr stroppe(which didnt sell at all) after a 1 year production run for a 4dr only model theres zero chance they'll make the Filson in a 2 door! and who the F wants a 4dr stroppe thats the worst idea ive seen in a while

Simple post-mortem on the Stroppe: 1) +99% of buyers have no idea who Bill Stroppe was. Too ’enthusiast’ for the marketplace, no bump for the brand association, and 2) most people willing to pay +$75K for a vehicle don’t want to drive around in a red, white and blue billboard. Don’t get me wrong — it’s cool. I liked it. Almost bought one. But the paint not only didn’t appeal to me, it made me say ‘no thanks’. I’m not a ‘hey look at me’ guy, and I’m guessing I’m not the only one.

The Filson trim solves both those problems, but not the overall lack of appeal (for most buyers) of the 2DR. For Ford to continue to make any 2DR Broncos it will be for the cool factor (which IS marketing) and not the revenue stream.

Exactly, me too. I would have bought one but didn’t want to look like NASCAR running around town. If they put Stoppe features (2.7 or 3.0) in 2 door Filson it will do much better
