Thanks. Now I need to figure out how to sufficiently raise the battery SOC!

FYI, the notification describes the update as:

"We've updated some of the parameters within your vehicle's Powertrain Control Module to support HVAC improvements."
Interesting.. I don’t understand why that would be a PCM update and not an HVAC module update, but who knows 🤷‍♂️

Interesting.. I don’t understand why that would be a PCM update and not an HVAC module update, but who knows 🤷‍♂️
I don't know about current systems, but on a lot of vehicles I worked on when I was younger, the engine rpm was raised and the coolant fan(s) kicked on anytime the air conditioning compressor was running, perhaps that is controlled by the PCM in these for that reason?

Most folks have reported no issues ... Hope you are lucky as well. I've got a travel heavy month, so I'm waiting to go in for service and thenr call check in July.
Was lucky indeed- no issues with mine….

Yeah it could have something to do with the fans I suppose since they’re PCM controlled, but those already automatically come on when A/C is requested so I’m not sure what they would change there.
But either way, we will never know since Ford’s update notes are so generically awful lol
