Filson is the wannabe PNW logger tuxedo nowadays.
I think Filson is like Carhartt for folks who don't go outside or have to work jobs...but want to look like they do.

I'll add that I do like it, the colors the fabrics and especially the gooch cooler.

Once the "special edition" is done, and if it seems successful, I can see this becoming the rebranded Lincoln that we have all seen rumors of leading up to this. Question is, what would the name be?

Few ideas via Grok (I removed the ones that were currently used by other manufactures like Odyssey and Traverse)
  • Lincoln Horizon
  • Lincoln Helmsman
  • Lincoln Wayfarer
  • Lincoln Argonaut
  • Lincoln Meridian
  • Lincoln Luminary
  • Lincoln Vanguard
  • Lincoln Constellation
I'm surprised it didn't come up with something like the Lincoln Thoroughbred or Lincoln Quarterhorse.

It's nice and I like the sand/rust/whatever red that is.
The rust (iron sands) exterior with the green/black interior is a lot going on, visually. I wouldn’t be surprised if that interior accent color gets adjusted for the rust ‘extra-premium’ model, but it could look great in person. Hard to say.

I wonder if the towing capacity is the same 3500 or with the bigger motor did, they have a different exhaust and able to reinforce the frame like the Bronco Raptor to increase to 4500. I love the additions they made to this Bronco and would love to experience the "quieter" cabin.

The power side steps are nice, but can they act like rock sliders if they are still focusing on offroading. I also assume that this has carpet and not a washout flooring? Still a lot of questions about this model but many good improvements that I wish my 2021 had.

The price on the window sticker will not reflect the actual price at the dealership lot. A premium will be attached. Mid 70’s is the bait in the trap. For me, Ford is going in the wrong direction. Allow me to beef up a Base two door through options. BTW the motor matters not unless they option a V8.

Why would Ford reveal this with the old center cluster and no 4A on the GOAT dial?
Have to keep in mind that these are "mules" with the disclaimer that they are pre-production vehicles and that features may be different than production versions. Still sloppy in my opinion, but it just goes to show that these mules are often built years before the reveal. I remember I had pictures of the first Heritage 2 years before the reveal.

Also, note, the Iron Sands version has the spotlight mirror caps when they have been phased out.

So does this rig have the heritage squared flares or regular sasquatch flares?

I love the look of this. Honestly the only thing I don't love is the price, because I'm a poor.
Out of my budget. Maybe I'll find a nice used model in 2030 that was lovingly owned by an older man who didn't actually offroad it & handwashed it once a week before taking it to the country club for dinner.

I mean, my 22 OBX SAS was about $60k at the time of MSRP and no dealer discounts. For the extra this has, I would have DEFINITELY went with this.

I would have also went with Raptor had it been out at the time.

Problem now is mine was paid off in 3 years. So, not wise now. Maybe 3 or 4 years down the line... 😆

I have a 22 Wildtrak, but I bought it used for like 45k.
So while I'd love to have something like this Filson, it's just not in my budget.
And I'd have a really hard time wanting to take down some of the trails I've been on when I spent that much on it, even if I had it.
Props to whoever gets one of these & actually uses it though

I think this is about as rough a trail as a Bronco Filson owner is going to do. But hey — still something. It’s not pavement, and that counts.

PS: I’m going to be shocked if this is a MSRP that‘s less than Stroppe’s initial $78K.

The 3.0 is interesting. Diluting the Raptor trim level. Mid seventies is a pipe dream. I bet they debut in the high eighties with dealer markups on top of that. That being said it has a more refined look inside. Too bad about the round fenders, but probably fine for the intended customer.
Totally different buyer than Raptor, tho. Keyword “refined” — as you say above. Raptor is Monster energy drink, this is a single malt. I find it funny that a lot of folks here don’t get that the Raptor vibe is off-putting to a certain type of buyer.
See the article I just ran across. They mentioned that while it has the engine from the Raptor, "it will be tuned to be less 'Raptor-y'".

This is basically everything I wanted it to be as an early Bronco adopter (2021 Badlands) and a long-time Filson fan. They've addressed my main gripes:

•Road noise
•Ventilated Seats
•Upgraded (and unique) interior appointments

Filson may have diluted their brand a bit over the years, but they still make some incredible heritage-inspired gear and clothing. I think they nailed the interior, and I look forward to trading my Bronco in on this next year!
