Remember when cars used to only come with one side mirror? I learned to drive stick on a Datsun pickup. Only one mirror on the drivers side and no power steering.
When was that? I had a 65 Mustang with one side mirror. Had a 2nd one that had two side mirrors, but I think the second was was probably scavenged from a 66 or 67 because it didn't quite match.

Didn't have backup lamps until 66 either.

The year nineteen hundred and eighty three! A lovely dark blue Datsun pickup. 2wd king cab with a stick shift. Sold it to my uncle a few years after I had it and he ran it for 250K miles on the factory clutch before trading it in on a 1996 hardbody.

To put a bow on the story I now own said hardbody with only 53K original miles.

It's not what the pedals are called that has dated me...it is the car's '"On - Off" button
