Mine is setup with Rock Krawler 2.625” body coilovers. Maximizes the body size while fitting into a 2.5” package. But 3.0 would be awesome. It’s paired with Radflo external bypasses with the largest tubes we could fit in there.I just got back from running the NORRA 1000 Safari and added adjustable trailing arms, fox 3.2 with heavier 450lb/300lb Eibach springs, professionally tuned shocks for high speed desert and a Baja Kits long travel front. I was outrunning all 3 Bronco Raptors but, I couldn't keep up with the F150 Raptors and the OJ Broncos running 18in travel up front and 25 out back. Even with that I wasn't able to attack KOH size whoops. It did handle very well but, 12 inches of travel front and back was not nearly enough. I think those of us who live in the desert and want to run like a prerunner are going to have to spend some coin. Sierra has got it right going to VX offroad and if I would have seen his stuff I would 100% be running his stuff all around. I do think that VX needs to bump up for 3.0 shocks over the 2.5s. They don't fade in the 100+ heat and it is easier for your shock tuner to fine tune larger diameter shocks. If anyone is in touch with VX Offroad tell them to answer my emails I want spread my wallet open for them.
And of course, fabricated uprights with heims instead of ball joints. Vasher nailed the tierod placement as there is no discernible toe-in at full droop. Very impressive. There is some hub roll but the caster at ride height is 5.5 degrees, and best I could tell was losing 2.1 degrees from full stuff to full droop. He is very thorough with his designs.
