Orange Fury Metallic?

My first Bronco was a '21 AMB OBX, it looks better in person but it really depends on the lighting and keeping it clean. Sometimes it looks black, sometimes it looks blue. Overall I did like the color and is pretty rare on the Bronco. Someone in the forum called it "Almost Maybe Black" which is kind of fitting. As you can tell from my latest Bronco I seem to like rare colors.

AMB = Always Mostly Black was the catch-phrase. Truly is a fantastic color when clean and the sunlight reveals that blue metallic.

Really damn annoying that Ford doesn’t have any good colors. I don’t understand why they don’t have a palette of colors to pick from when you order. I would gladly pay a few extra hundred bucks to get what I want

I'm for sure in the minority, but I actually prefer the MIC to the black painted top. Feels more rugged.

For durability reasons, since I keep vehicles a long time, I would definitely choose the painted top, but I agree the MIC top looks much better. The MIC matches the fender flares, cowl+mirror and bumper, while the glossy shadow black painted top doesn‘t match anything. It looks out of place. Body color painted hardtop looks better and more refined than black painted, but less rugged than MIC.

Not only do they drop Orange Fury, but then they force change the color to GREY! Sorry but Ford is one messed up bunch.

Just in case someone happens to have ordered Orange Fury and is freaking out they'll end up with a gray Bronco.

You can change it to whatever remaining color is available, you are not forced into Avalanche Gray—just call up your dealer (if they haven't contacted you already) and give them the new color.

If you don't select a new color though it'll default to Avalanche Gray.

it’s sorta funny, back in 2021 when MAP photos were being leaked, there was a thread with early pics of black painted MOD tops. Reactions seemed to be mostly “uh, I’m sticking with the MIC top”.

My reply was in response to your remark that the black painted top doesn't match anything. MY'21 FE and WT owners have the gloss black mirror caps to remind them that the shadow black painted HT never materialized.

From the few people I've heard of who've actually placed orders, I haven't heard of a single person ordering the color matched top!

They've been shown here, at least since February...

Dont be knocking Velocity Blue...you need a 7spd 2dr Badlands to properly enjoy it though

I am the person who records the scheduling videos for Long McArthur. I have years of understanding the scheduling notes Ford puts out. They are great for this that have orders placed with their dealers and are waiting to get that schedule date for production on their orders.

Yesterday Ford let dealers know that Orange Fury is being discontinuedfor 2026 J2. They are instructing dealers to make changes to the color on all unscheduled and scheduled orders. Yes, you can make changes to orders once they are scheduled as long as the scheduled production date is far enough away. Typically before it gets a schedule to Day.

Deadline is May 1st for the changes. If changes aren't made by then Ford will change all Orange Fury orders scheduled for production to Avalanche Gray. They will not build an Orange Fury Bronco in 2026 model year.

I wasn’t doubting you, just wanted to verify you weren’t some rando spouting rumors.

You’re doing god’s work. I had a feeling something was up with Orange Fury for a while, as there had been very little info on it outside of that one article announcing it and Ford adding it to the builder. You were the only person who was able to confirm my hunch!

Red for me too. It’s pretty lame that the only non-neutral colors are red and blue.

Yes very lame. I’m not a huge fan of Velocity Blue, and while red looks nice, it’s not really the color for me. I was in love with Orange Fury, so I’m super disappointed.

I’ll probably end up picking between Avalanche Grey and Desert Sand (leaning towards Avalanche).
