Update need help Unusual noise after revving, help!

My 2024 Outer Banks, 2.3 makes an unusual popping or thud noise as it comes down in rpm after a rev. Anyone had this or know what it might be?

I dont have mine yet to say for sure, but is it the blow off value venting the excess turbo pressure?
But on the other hand kinda sounds like a larger diameter tube tapping something with an open end.

This is my second bronco same engine and the other didn't do this noise. I maybe will take that plastic box apart I think its air cleaner , maybe?

My 2021 2.3 manual has 90,200 miles on it. It has always done this noise after revs but I think mine is a bit quieter than yours. I usually can only hear it really well when driving with the doors off. I always thought it was a waste gate expelling exhaust pressure. Now I’m more interested. Anyone know? If you take it to a shop let us know what you find

Yes exactly that corner box area passenger side front corner!!

Yeah thats the air intake.
The filter may not be completely secure, or there may be debris in there, etc.
If you dont see anything immediate, then you could try making sure the filer is super secure (temporarily add something to help wedge it down to make sure its not moving).
Could be one of the connecting tubes is clunking and its echoing out the box side.

I took air intake cover off and STILL the same noise? Is this some valve or something, it certainly is consistent??

Is that black collapsible tube collapsing and expanding? Hence the pop?

I didnt see anything out of ordinary but good point ill see if any plastic is collapsing and bouncing back thx

Mine started doing this a few days ago. I belive it’s the turbo solenoid
