Been a minute since I posted, but I had a rear storage compartment built for my braptor. I am trying to preserve as much space as possible. It’s made from steel and was designed to drop in and be removed. The plan is to powder coat it a textured black with some semigloss and gloss black for aesthetics. The compartment has a lid which reinforces the rear floor foam-board. I’d like to think that me and the builder thought of every detail to make things serviceable and removable without too much trouble. It houses a brushless twin ARB compressor, ARB tank, 4 titanate batteries and a bunch of fuse and ground blocks.

I also replaced the oem battery with a titanate battery that weighs under 10 pounds. The battery holder also has 2 build in (removable) fuse holders. I’d like to note that I removed the battery until I can wire all the batteries together.

Interested in hearing more about that battery once you run it a bit. That's a pretty solid weight savings.

Am I understanding that correctly, the Titan 8+ Battery is a 20 AH battery?

It appears that a standard replacement would be an 80 AH. I get that it is light, but for a truck that has heavy enough electrical loads before aftermarket goodies, I'd want more capacity, not less..

My battery bank is over 80AH. I’m running all the same lithium chemistry so I’m not really concerned as all batteries will be ran in parallel. I designed the battery bank for my audio system, not really to run accessories while the vehicle is off.

Beautiful. Is the new volume significantly larger than stock? It looks like the new batteries are not yet in the rear compartment?

it is significantly larger than both the stock cargo space and Jack space, the batteries are in there they're underneath the bar thet spans across (zoom in and you will see them)

Im waiting for some 1st adapter to try one of these:
Currently on sale buy one get one 50% off:
Ionic Lithium Diesel Truck Battery
100AH, 3000 Cranking amps, 39lbs
I have one in my motorhome.

Here's a cheaper, lighter option:
Ionic Lithium Car Battery
40AH, 1400 cranking amps, 14.6lb

Need someone to tell me if the Bronco charger and fault detection electronics play nice with these, and if the charging system delivers 100% charge. They typically want a higher charge Voltage than the modern efficient charging systems provide.

I investigated a LiPo as a primary/sole replacement battery a couple years ago and it was unsuitable for the sole reason that it could not accommodate the current provided by my alternator for charging.

Those Ionic models don't list a spec for that.

This is an amazing setup. I want to mount my arb there as well. Love you found room for a tank as well. No interest in the batteries but I would be very interested in a box like that to house my air lines and air equipment along with the arb. Where are you connecting your qd for the air hose? I've thought about remote mounting one on the right side of the cargo bay so the lid can stay closed but that may create too much heat? Welcome your thoughts on that idea. I did buy the dv8 tray but it allows a crap ton of dust in that I'm not really pleased with. Yes I added the grommets but there is an opening somewhere. I need to get in there with a light and find it.

wow, you really crammed a lot of stuff down there!

I didn't find any premade options at the time and made my own distribution bracket up front and put my charger and inverter in the cargo compartment.

How's the battery holding up? I am really cautious putting lithium battery under the hood. Last time I did that in my wife's Outback, battery swelled up. Lucky it didn't catch on fire.
Lithium doesn't like heat.
