Looks like a lot of carnage, but if one plays in the rocks, it is to be expected. @dpAtlanta The first scratch is the worst. But at least you have a story/memory attached to them. Everyone is sad to see @broadicustomworks damage, but none more than himself.

The next challenge goes to @Dusty . Being far from home on a road trip and to have to make a temporary fix, certainly was challenging. Kudos for maintaining a sense of humor and making the best of it while still enjoying the remainder of the road trip.

Thanks @Beach_Bum! It was an expensive fix once we got home but a trip to the hardware store in Gunnison Colorado for a half sheet of plywood and a hand saw meant we wouldn't have to worry about it until later

OK next challenge...so the Interwebz are telling me that today is Earth Day, so let's see pics of you out there enjoying the Earth in your Bronco. Here's a shot of us on Usal Road along California's Lost Coast.

Lol, true.
Oh they stay sharp as I always have something I am working on.
Haven't really taken any breaks (other than trip or two) in the last decade.
I have found that a decade tacked onto ME makes that work a little harder to do, though!
On that fender I ground out the cracks in the fiberglass and V-grooved it, re-glassed it, did a coat of fiberglass-reinforced filler, then a skim coat of regular filler, high build primer. Sanded each step with progressively lighter grit (initial fiberglass sand was with 80 to shape it, final sand on the primer was 400 then 600 wet).
Ther fender is ready to repaint, which I may do this coming weekend.
Lots of hard parts arriving for the suspension rebuild between now and the weekend.

It's gonna look as good as new when you get done. Auto body work is hard on the body!

Coming back and buffing out a few little gnat tracks in a few days and I’ll call the fender repair done!
Very few for painting it outside.
No suspension=not able to move it into the shop…
Great temps and zero rain, gotta take advantage where you can.

It’s from a company I buy all my paint and supplies from called Revolt Auto Paint.
Color is Rowan Orange.
It’s a semi-transparent orange with gold pearl.
I added a hint of race red to it and also used Race Red as a ground coat under it.
It’s amazing in the sun.

I'm continually drawn to the Smoky Mtns. I'll be returning in 2 weeks.
