Well at least we can't read the license plate and conduct nefarious activities. Good thing it's not visible to all those other folks that see it wheel you are driving around.

$ 2,873.59 with OEM parts; knockoffs 1,513.71 … 😂

As someone mentioned see if you can upgrade, steel bumper and winch.

I'll play. Just got my F150 raptor back from replacing a 47$ temp blend actuator in the dash, to the tune of 4200$. The bumper and grille wont be repaired they will be replaced. Im in at 6125$...
Ford still hasn't figured out the design and placement of the blend door actuator? We used to have a 2010 F150 and had the driver side go out first and the passenger one a bit later. The passenger side is easier to access, but the driver side required removal of the center console, dash and seat (or so I was told). If it wasn't for the extended warranty, the cost was going to be well over $3K (this was close to 10 years ago).

Dude!! Really?! You're gonna fix THAT?! Just go hit an offroad park and add some more "character marks"! At the very least, go ahead and submit the claim, take the money and hit Vegas! Why fix such a little boo boo in a vehicle designed to thrash off road?!

You know I never thought about what you just stated, why do people cover their license plates when it’s always visible when driving, this fellow is not the only person that does it, I see it all the time people block their license plates in pictures.

Bumped into a ford transit, literally, now were gonna see how much it is to repair. Any guesses? I get an estimate tomorrow, literally just the bumper and grill are damaged, no sensors or anything else behind them. Lucky actually. Behind the plate is where the real bend in the bumper is.

So I have to ask.... exactly what is taking them 8.3 hours to do? I've replaced headlights (which include grill removal) in less than 30 minutes. I've dropped my bumper in probably 5 minutes. Where are the other 7+ hours they are billing you for?

Edit: If it were me, I'd pick up a grill off eBay, and get an aftermarket bumper. Spend half of what they are quoting you.

My problem is the bumper is THIN and creased badly behind the license plate so a replacement bumper is a requirement for sure. thats 1000 bucks, grill is 300ish, then a few other bits and pieces. deductible is 500 so its cheaper for me to have them do it. Otherwise? Id do it myself.

alot cheaper over all than what I thought, I was imagining closer to 10K

yes? right?
Transit is a full size contractor van, like the old E350.
Transit connect is a smaller vehicle, developed in Europe.
Probably more like a comparison between an F150 & a Maverick
