Received mine, looks fantastic. Will take photos once I get it mounted. Thanks for making the mount.

Turn off the snow melt feature. That can toggle on and add heat.

I use my aux switch’s. The first 3 are good enough for power. The last few are not. You could do a simple in line switch off battery if you do not have the upfitter switches. And maybe mount the power under your steering wheel or where ever convenient

you do NOT need a converter. The power load is printed says on the back of mini I believe 9-35 volts. Been awhile since I looked. Folks using cigarette lighter power will run into power drop outs. You need to run heavy wire for the starlink. I believe 12 or 14 awg to your antenna. It’s not crazy big but beefier than the wire that’s in the bronco. The longer the run from battery the more voltage drop. And the mini is sensitive

try the tent and see if you need to move it. As long as there isn’t a large panel
Of metal blocking I think you will be surprised

I used a barrel port for starlink and mounted to roll bar trims next to air bags.
I will roll out a proper video soon and list parts and such on my YouTube channel. Thatbroncoguy.

I am
In process of showing how I mounted the mini. It’s extremely easy and robust. But would only work for hard tops. The set up mohavecustom made here in this thread is ideal and Slick for soft tops!
Don't need to worry about wire size. The mini draws 60W max and not continuous. At 12V this is only 5A. The wire (.75) is good for 10A. I run mine directly from AUX 6 using the same gauge wire from switch to dish. Ford engineers did actually think about this stuff. Use a step up if you want and go 24V and it only draws 2.5A and it's even better if you really concerned. I can say that I've had no problems with dropouts running from AUX 6.

That’s awesome you got it set up.

AUX 6 in the rear isn’t actually a short run—it still feeds from the engine bay, goes through the upfitter behind the glove box, then back to the cargo area. So you’re realistically looking at ~15–20 ft of small factory wiring plus connectors.

At ~5A draw, even something like ~18 AWG over that distance can see around 0.5–1V drop depending on connections and load. That doesn’t stop it from working, but it does mean the Starlink isn’t seeing super stable voltage—especially during startup spikes or heavy usage. Maybe not a big deal ?

I’m sure It’ll run fine on the factory wire, but running a heavier dedicated wire just keeps voltage more consistent and gives you more margin. That’s all I was getting at referencing larger wire.

Stoked you got it working well for your setup 👊

Hi all,
I created a mount for the Starlink Mini that uses the rear rollbar threaded holes. It works for both 4-door models as well as Raptors.

Like most ideas, this came out of personal necessity when I was looking to mount my Starlink Mini in my Raptor. I have gone through many iterations and landed on this design after months of changes and testing myself on desert trips.

The mount is made of ASA plastic, which is UV and heat resistant. It uses the Starlink Mini pole mount adapter that is included with every Starlink. There is a threaded brass insert on the top of the mount to attach to the pole mount and stay secure. Works perfect through the MIC hardtop.

If you're interested in checking it out, here is a link to it on my website:

AUX 6 (or any other AUX switch) can be used to power the front or rear through B1 or B2. I used B1 to D which is the wire above the windshield so the run is shorter. Not sure the wire size is cause for alarm for the overwhelming number of applications most will use and I've not experienced it yet with my limited run on my mini.

I just got mine mounted in the back of my rig. When I went to mount the pipe mount adapter, the pipe stem is about 1/4” too tall for the set screw to meet the receiving threads on the Mohave bracket. Is this a problem with different versions of the StarLink pipe mount adapter? Mine is the official one that comes with the Mini.

The mount is specifically designed for the 2025+ newer style OEM pole mount. It is taller than the old version, which it sounds like you may have. Edited the website to make it more clear.

Here is a link to the newer style adapter on the Starlink Shop for reference:
