  1. Sound deadening

I have not checked any thermal loads before and after, so I could not provide any substantiated data for temperatures. Using ā€œbro scienceā€ I would think adding air gaps via foam, thinsulate, and the foil back deadening mat would definitely help with insulation like those shiny foil heat...
  2. Sound deadening

If the triangle gasket is whistling there in my photos that is your issue most likely. If your door is whistling at the top by your ear then carefully pull down the window gasket on the hard top and even a tiny bit eliminates the whistle. They move down a little.
  3. Sound deadening

Ha. I’m not around the bronco right now but here are some photos of the location. The weather striping sits inside the channel so when the glass is up it compresses the weather striping and seals the air coming in. Follow the contour of the window at an angle so the strip takes up slack in...
  4. Sound deadening

Go to Home Depot and buy the self adhesive backed weather striping. Separate the 2 and cut a piece about 3ā€ or so. Roll window down and slide the strip in there so the adhesive sticks to the upper part of the triangle trim then roll window up and close door so window presses up against it. Then...

Awesome! Wish your the best and hope the info is helpful ā˜ŗļøšŸ‘
  6. Bronco Armadillo Designs aluminum hardtop, quietness

It does. But you might miss the rumble of the engine. It was somewhat a disappointment… here I thought it was a tough v6. Nah just a quiet tough v6. Ha. The nice thing is you can always change it back if you don’t like it. But most likely the engine noise you are hearing is fake so by removing...
  7. Sound deadening

Cool! Yeah I will get it down soon. I’m lazy. Ha. Just busy but will try to get it posted. I also did not remove the seats or the carpet. You can access the areas with out doing that.
  8. Sound deadening

I used the NIOSH SLM app. I had mine at ear height. I also turned off HVAC. I did have a nasty air whistle on driver door and fixed that prior to the testing. The little triangle spot the window rises in was pretty bad on mine. Also the stock tires are pretty loud. Not sure what your tires are...
  9. Sound deadening

Cool šŸ˜Ž. Let me know what you think. It didn’t change the Db on the test but the sound was definitely lower in pitch to ear. Like ā€œno wayā€ lower šŸ˜‚ sorry that’s not very quantifiable but very real šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  10. Sound deadening

I agree with others here. I’ve done extensive work and trial and error. The kilo mat plus closed cell and 3m thinsulate works amazingly well. I have a video I’m editing on how I did mine. Should be done soon. Did lots of Db testing. Doors are big and so is floor. The headliner is not a big bang...
  11. Bronco Armadillo Designs aluminum hardtop, quietness

Forscan is the best way. Free software lots of tutorials online with spreadsheets. ACM module is where to change the code to turn it off
  12. Who has sound deadened a MOD top?

I’ve done extensive db testing and deadening. Through out my bronco. The sound in the bronco is actually coming from the floor and bounces off the plastic, windows, and fiberglass. I added kilomat, second skin closed cell foam, turn off-road liner and carpet. All that work lowered if 1.5-2 db...
  13. Bronco Armadillo Designs aluminum hardtop, quietness

I’ve done some experimenting with sound deadening on my wildtrak. I have 37’s portals and loud upper control arms due to the heim joints and delta joint. the noise or loudness I found came from the noise from the frame and floor and even though did some super extensive closed cell foam and...
  14. New here.. Speaker upgrade recommendation

Do you have the carpet on the roof? Or is it bare fiberglass? I used a closed cell foam over the fiberglass roof then you can either buy the stock headliner from ford and stick it over using spray adhesive or buy the textured closed cell foam liner from turn offroad and cover the thin foam. The...
  15. New here.. Speaker upgrade recommendation

As others have commented already on this thread, the biggest bang for the buck is going to be sound deadening all of your doors and your floor using kiloMatt or dynomat as well as 3M Thinsulate insulation. You’ll probably end up spending about $500 and a few afternoons doing it, but you will...
  16. Hammer built winch mount

You’re gonna love the hammer built high mount winch. The mile marker winch you have is also well made and very fast under load. Especially compared to other brands in the same price point. It out performs in every way. You can use CVfab intercoolers as well with the hammer built winch. That’s...
  17. Starlink Mini Mount for 4-Door and Bronco Raptor

That’s awesome you got it set up. AUX 6 in the rear isn’t actually a short run—it still feeds from the engine bay, goes through the upfitter behind the glove box, then back to the cargo area. So you’re realistically looking at ~15–20 ft of small factory wiring plus connectors. At ~5A draw...
  18. Base Audio Differences Between 2023 and 2026?

Also, as a sidenote, adding sound deadening to the interior of your bronco will greatly enhance the audio quality and experience overall. I m in the process of editing a video showing how you can make your bronco nearly as quiet as a top tier luxury vehicle. And at some speeds even quieter that...
  19. Base Audio Differences Between 2023 and 2026?

As many commented the sound quality is meh. I have the B&O package and be mindful it’s just branding. The speakers are still the same oem cheap paper cone speakers. All B&O package gets you is a ā€œtunedā€ system. Meaning they programmed the highs, mid and low using their ideals then put their...
