We love Broncos but… what’s the most annoying “small issue” with your Bronco?

Not talking major problems – just the stuff that slowly gets under your skin over time.

Could be:
  • windshield chips
  • Interior rattles
  • Road noise
  • Something random you didn’t expect
Curious what’s been the most annoying “little thing” for you so far.
Honestly, it annoys me that they put the worst possible sound system in it. Our 80's 90's Broncos probably didnt sound much worse.

WOW - 8 pages of complaints in less than a day. I guess there's a LOT to dislike about something you'd be willing to cough up $50+K for. lol

For me, hands down, it's the wind noise from the top/roof rack/etc. over 40MPH.

I'm definitely in agreement with the double honk when you get out and close the door with the engine running. Super annoying!

2nd annoying thing would be the car alarm randomly going off after locking the vehicle.

Other than that, I'm very happy with my Bronco.
so many people hate the double honk. Good news, its an easy forscan fix

Most annoying is the double honk if you leave the car running with the key in your pocket. Haven't found a way to disable it, but man is it annoying.
That double chirp is the most annoying thing. Always happens at the wrong time and people think your trying to get their attention. It was the first thing I had removed with FORSCAN.

The more OTA updates, the more it breaks.

I did enough research that I was well aware of common issues. My main gripe that bothers me on a daily basis is the location of the electronic parking brake switch. They could have placed a button anywhere on the dash or console like nearly every other vehicle today but they decided to put it in a spot that's out of sight and requires you to reach down near your knee. Clearly the people responsible for this are drivers that strictly drive automatics and are oblivious to the fact that parking pawl is not an adequate means of holding the vehicle on inclines/declines.
Spot on! My biggest gripe as well. Your observation about automatic drivers being the target audience for such a logical aberration is insightful.

The audio has a mind of its own sometimes. Tap audio it goes on or push volume button it doesn’t go on, previous audio isn’t always next when you turn on, it seems to revert to one previous audio play app. Weird but I just move on.

I had issues with the rear window squeaking against the tailgate when driving off road for the first year or two. I put a small towel in the gap when I got to the dirt, which stopped it. But after a few years it doesn't do that anymore. But I've also worn the paint off of the top edge where it contacts the rubber part of the back window, so that's a minor annoyance. At least it's aluminum, so no rust issues.
In response to your issue, I had the same problem like all of us. I fixed the paint damage there and then applied some adhesive door edge molding along the top of the tailgate and it's held up for the last 2 years with no further issue. I hope this helps.

For myself, and after reading this thread that I'm the only person on Earth that isn't bothered by this, is that there is no easy way to just shut off the screen. When I push the "Power" button, all it does is turn off the audio. IMO it pressing it should turn the audio off as well as the screen or at least press once to turn off the audio and a press and hold to shut the screen off.

It's built and feels everywhere like a $15K car but costs $50K+ with very poor customer support and sketchy warranty fulfillment.

Very poor value If I had to pay out of pocket (non business expense) would not even look at it. Would get a 1980s Suzuki for a fraction since it's same quality and same seat comfort and more capable due to weight.

I have had 2 issues.

1. Driver seat bolt came loose on the front of the seat. I see there was a recall for this up to MY2023, but mine is a 2025, so that was odd. I put some Loctite on it, and put it back in. Hasn't happened since.

2. Driver side rear door window keeps forgetting to open before the door. I do the relearn, and it lasts a few days, then happens again. Thinking this one will need to go back to Ford. Will have to wait until I have time because this is my only vehicle.

Having to constantly explain, “Thank you, but it’s not a jeep, it’s a bronco.” Yeah, gets old.
😂 yeah, that one probably comes up more than it should.

What’s the most common thing people get wrong about it?

At first, I missed a true hand pull parking break since I have a M/T. Three years later, it doesn’t bother me. It’s actually kinda helpful as my F150 now automatically engages the parking break when I park on our steep driveway, and it’s in the same spot.
Funny how some of those things go from annoying to actually useful once you get used to them. The consistency between vehicles probably helps too.
