If you’ve been running flush mount tail lights on your Bronco, or have been waiting for the right set to pull the trigger, this is the update you’ve been waiting for.

Our Flush Mount Tail Lights have officially evolved to V2, bringing major upgrades in both performance and reliability while keeping the same clean fitment, simple installation, and MSRP.

The first thing you’ll notice is the light output. V2 features a completely upgraded double-diffusion optical system that produces a dramatically smoother and more uniform light signature with reduced hotspotting. The brake and running lights now have a cleaner, more refined appearance that looks noticeably more premium both in daylight and at night. The result is a sharper OEM+ look that better matches the modern styling of the Bronco while improving overall visibility and consistency.

But the real story is what changed internally. V2 incorporates updated LED driver and power supply technology with enhanced surge protection, improved CAN-bus compatibility, and added safeguards against over-voltage, under-voltage, and reverse polarity conditions. In other words, these lights were engineered to be tougher, smarter, and more resilient in real-world use, especially on modified Broncos running additional accessories or aftermarket electrical equipment.

This wasn’t about reinventing the product. It was about refining an already popular design using newer technology to make it perform and last at a higher level.

Same flush look. Same install. Same price. Just better in every way that matters.

On top of that, we upgraded the internals too:
  • Better surge protection (huge for builds with accessories)
  • Improved CANbus compatibility
  • Protection against over/under voltage + reverse polarity
So it’s not just a visual upgrade—it’s a more durable, reliable setup for real-world use.

And the best part:
  • Same plug-and-play install
  • Same price (no price increase!)
  • Warranty is now 2 years instead of 1
If you liked the original version, this is basically everything refined. Check them out here: https://www.oraclelights.com/pages/v2-flush-mount-tail-lights

It would be helpful, easier to visualize, if you could provide some photo images of Broncos with stock vs V1 vs V2.

I had considered your product; I have seen many complaints of failure on here. Frankly at the price point and knowing how long the stock lights work. I think a 2-year warranty is ridiculous. If you can't warranty these 15 years, I can't see entertaining it. Your failure posts on here are just to frequent.

But, have you fixed the resistors/hyperflash issue?

It seems the only way to successfully achieve that is to tap into the third brake light.

They really do look spectacular. In the video the taller bronco has V1

I don’t think anyone with fully functioning V1s would swap out just for diffusion, and it’s not likely anyone who has experienced one or more V1 failures would buy them. I’m one of the lucky ones who hasn’t had a failure, and I love mine, but if Baja Designs comes out with a flush tail light I’d jump all over it due to their lifetime warranty.

Been getting some good feedback from installs recently, especially on the light output at night. The double diffusion really makes a difference in person vs photos. Curious if anyone here has made the switch yet or is considering it?

Remember, our 10% Flush Tail Light sale is live until the end of the month!

Be nice if you offered some kind of discount for all us owners of the flakey V1 version. I've had two failures of the drivers side light and no warranty. I guess I'm asking for a "shame on me" moment for even considering but I do like the look of them though my V1's are sitting in a box on a shelf.

Totally hear you on that, and we get where you’re coming from, especially after dealing with failures like that. We do want to take care of V1 owners who are outside of warranty and/or looking to upgrade, especially if you still like the overall style. If you can shoot our support team an email at [email protected], we’ll take a look at your situation and see what we can do for you.

Appreciate you sticking with it and giving the product another look!

Can you elaborate more on the changes made to deal with the reliability concerns?

I am interested in these only because of the increased clearance possible for swing gate mounted jerry can / rotopax solutions. I'dl ove to have these AND be able to open my swing gate all the way.

Edit: you know, it would be really nice to toggle those reverse lights on as chase lights.

The flush design really helps with swing gate clearance its an awesome feature of this low-profile design.

On the reliability side, the updates are all internal but make a big difference. We’ve upgraded the LED drivers and power supply components, which allowed us to add stronger protection across the board. That includes improved surge protection, over-voltage and under-voltage protection, and reverse polarity protection. We also improved CAN-bus compatibility so they behave better with modern vehicle electronics like the Bronco.

We’ve also refined the consistency of the internal components and assembly process. The goal wasn’t to change the design, just to make a proven product more durable and stable in real world use. The result is a much more robust version than the earlier units.

For the reverse/chase light idea, we actually offer a solution for that. Our dual-function reverse modules add an integrated amber chase light feature that can be wired to an aux switch or other controller.

I was right there with you but was impressed with the Vega lights, and after grilling Oraclr a bit on the taillights decided to give them a try. It seemed like they’re trying to do right by the customers affected by the old failures.
