Installed the version 2 struts last night. Not impressed. Once released, they raise the top about 2-3” then I have to push it up. Once up it stays up.
Looked through previous threads and they do mention the version 2 is for heavier newer softies, which I have.
maybe they shipped me the V 1’s by mistake?
Anyone else have this issue? Was thinking I could put a twist or two in the bungees to assist but something else is going on.

I would reach out to them and see about getting a new pair. I have had the V2 struts for a while now and they have been great and lift the top up even higher than the prop stick.

They are also a great company and will do anything to help fix your problem with their products! I have their door bags as well and they shipped the wrong ones twice and not only did they let me keep the rear bags for free but they also refunded me for the front door bags as well to make it right.

Happy to help! Just saw your email come through, if you can please reply to the email we would me more than happy to offer assistance.

For reference the V1 strut kit was discontinued in mid-2022 but we do offer to different strut kits now depending on the year or the truck. Either way we can get this resolved!

Update. IAG immediately emailed me after I contacted them. When taking the pics they requested I noticed the top of one of the struts wasn’t popped on to the ball. Only one strut was lifting. Now it works flawlessly!

thanks for the quick response IAG.

Now delete the OP LOL. New members might just see the title and avoid IAG. Personally I think they were great to work with when I made a purchase. Good company.

IAG are extremely resposnive and immediately take care of issues no hassles, unlike the latest trend of blaming customers or "no one else has said anything" thats super popular nearly every where in Canada....cash flow down the path of least resistance haha.
