I pulled the headrest out and physically bent the rails to ease that forward tilt after seeing it recommended elsewhere here in the forum. I'm 5'5" so it really felt like it was resting on top of my head and forcing my chin to my chest.
I've thought about that. Good to know that works. Since my wife and I have different preferences, it's actually her Bronco, something permanent is off the table for now. I'll call bending the rods Plan B.

You can find similar headrests from 150s with adjustment if you have cloth seats! I just turned mine around when I’ll be in the vehicle for more than 1hr+ continuous.

I also recommend the Desert Does it spacers though, I sit low in all my vehicles and having the extra incline is nice. I’m all torso no legs, so I sit closer than my height might suggest.

Thanks. I have the MGV seats but I have seat covers so cloth headrests wouldn't be an issue.

I'm remiss to comprehend why ANYONE wold consider the bronco front seat headrest (read head/neck/back torture device) to be safe under ANY circumstances. IF it is those in my 2020 F150 must be downright dangerous. Can't believe none of us (especially orthopedic specialists)have demanded a recall and fix. (Both pics are driver seats) ;-)

What are you trying to say, that the headrest is tilted too far forward into your head?

The headrest is designed to prevent your noggin from snapping back in a rear end collision. I adjust my seat rake so it’s touching the back of my head in normal use. If you have your headrest away from your head by more than two inches you’re doing it wrong

Yeah, I never understood this complaint. My seats are super comfortable and the headrest has never been an issue. I think some people were never taught how to properly adjust a seat.

For those that don’t have electric adjustment, Desert Does It seat jackers are a must.

I think the biggest problem is the name. You’re not supposed to rest your head on them.

That’s the part I find nice about them. After a hard day in the trenches I rest my head against the headrest, relax and take leisurely ride home.

Reviving this thread with a Floor Jackers question. Seems like the design changed a bit and from what install videos I can find on Youtube and wanted to see if people can tell if I've got them installed correctly.

I used both shims to get the most lift. Both the shims were tapered a bit so I sandwiched them to where there was a bit of a taper and put the higher end towards the footwell. Makes my knees much closer to the steering column and I think I want to drive a bit to see if I like it that way.

But anyway, the seat pin wasn't easy to get back into the hole. I feel like I got them lined back up properly and wanted to see if others who installed both shims on each leg can tell by the pics.

Instead of seat jackers, I just used washers and saved a bit of cash and the angle is more adjustable.
Went with Katzkin seats and that helped long distance comfort a lot.

Hey Y'all!

I have a 2022 4dr Badlands Lux w/ MGV(Took delivery June 2022 and put 27k miles on it already). It has manual seat adjustments and I can get it to "comfortable enough" but on drives of 1hr+ I get pretty bad back pain. I did a 9hr straight drive and my back hurt for like 2 weeks afterwards 🤦

For comparison sake, I had a 2019 Mustang Bullitt before this and I could take it on 4hr+ drives with no pain.

I'm not an ergonomics expert, so I'm not quite sure what the source of this discomfort is. Has anyone else had a similar experience and a fix?

I'm open to the idea of replacing the whole seat, if that's what it takes 😂 I love my Bronco and would like to keep it for a very long time... But if I can't solve this, I might have to trade it for something else 😔
These are in my opinion the second best seats ive ever sat in, the nest were audi. Its a personal thing for sure

I got the Electric Leather seats on a OBX for precisely that reason. They are minutely adjustable. The seating position in a Mustang is more laying back; Bronco sits up. Getting in is different as well. Id check with an orthopedic or Chiropractor to be sure you dont have spine issues that the new car exacerbated. For a start. Typically, I lay back, im tall, but Id be annoyed to have to adjust the seat manually . . . That alone would hurt my back
I never would have guessed the manual seats would be so challenging. Not withstanding the utility for an off-road vehicle, I have lux and leather and the power seats really are excellent. Hope they can expand them to other trim levels in the future.

The back seat of a bronco is a whole different story. Its a torture chamber back there. Starts with the fact that you get 1" of recline.
