Hello, I’m wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of where the ambient air sensor wiring harness is located. CEL is on and diagnostics says it’s an issue with the ambient air temp sensor. I know the sensor itself is under the driver’s side mirror but I need to check the wiring harness for potential rodent damage and am admittedly clueless. I’ve brought it to the dealer twice and both times have been told they don’t have time to trace for damage even though it’s what I’ve set my appointment specifically for, so I’m interested in at least taking a peak myself. The tech says it’s in a location that’s easily accessible to rodents but I can’t find any specifics online.

It’s wired directly from the sensor to the PCM. So follow the harness out of the mirror and back to the PCM. Probably runs along the back of the engine/firewall.

Unless you see something obvious when opening the hood, I don’t think it would be rodent damage.

I’ll try following the wire. There is nothing obvious under the hood aside from some foot prints in some dust which is why the dealer suspects rodents. It will be good for me to look by myself anyway, so I can document what I see vs. what they claim to see when they have the time for it. Thank you!
