Just can't catch a break when trying to purchase a Tune Package for my Bronco Raptor

Every time I try to buy the tune package for my 3.0L Raptor engine it's always sold out on the Ford Performance web site. I've put in my email 3 times now to get alerted when it's back in stock. Every time I get an email I click the purchase link and it's already sold out. One time I got the email and I immediately went to the site and still wasn't able to buy it.

Must be some kind of secret handshake needed to buy the actually thing. I'm assuming the tune itself is fine, but they keep running out of the Procal tuner. Otherwise I just don't get it. Am I missing something?

The tuner box is the same for every single Ford ProCal tune, and you can even buy it stand alone without a tune. The only difference is the code they put in so it knows what engine profile to download. And even that is ridiculous... it's VIN locked, and the Dongle would know what tune file to grab from your VIN once it's hooked up... but I guess it helps keep people from buying ProCal for unsupported vehicles if nothing else.

And to make it even more ridiculous - if you already have the box (say you wanted to install the Severe Duty Steering rack the "correct" way), and later wanted the tune, you can't just buy the code (or at least to my knowledge you can't yet).

Yea I think I had the same problem with the 2.7, ended up finding it at Blue Oval Industries. Got it cheaper and faster, had Ford install it. The raptor I remember using points, so I got it from Ford, must have just hit it at the right time. I'd check out Lethal as stated above. If I had to do it again (and I may), I don't know if I'd get the ProCal for the Raptor TBH.

Just ordered mine from you , going to have them tune it when I pick up at dealership this Friday. Have heard don't need to break it in, just be easy on it and change oil at 1000 miles. Anyone have thoughts on this?

It is Time based, so should be 1 hour of shop time. I’m guessing $100-150.

My dealer is installing for free, but only because they have a stop sale on all 2025 Raptors and I am unable to take delivery on the new Raptor until this recall situation with the back up camera is resolved.... so my trade in sits and and so does my Bronco until the OTA fix is released, which according to Ford may not be until April 27th.

Tuner uploaded today. Dealer charge only 1 hour. I had installed the software in advance on my laptop and firmware on the tuner device.

Also, I thought there was a software update on the camera. I pretty sure it came out last week and I got it on my 25 braptor.
