Rear-Ended Bronco – Tailgate Backorder Until JUNE - Looking for Help 😭

Hey everyone — looking for some help or direction here.

My 4-door Outer Banks was rear-ended about 2 weeks ago (everyone is okay), and it needs a full tailgate replacement. The body shop was told the part is backordered until June.

I’ve already contacted Ford Customer Service and was told the tailgate isn’t currently available anywhere in the U.S.

Has anyone had luck sourcing a tailgate sooner, or know of a dealer, parts manager, or Ford contact who might be able to help track one down? Open to any suggestions at this point.

I'll call a few of them and see if they would be willing. Is there a way I can find out the part number on my bronco to make sure its the right fit?

Check out if there are any salvage yards in your area. I'm sure Broncos have been totaled so used parts are available.
