Surprised that the pricey Stroppe he reviewed doesn’t have power seats but the more affordable Badlands with Lux does.

Reviewer was jazzed about the mirrors being connected to the body instead of to the doors, but didn’t mention that design feature also makes the doors that much easier to take off and store.
My MY25 Badlands Sasquatch Lux did not come with power seats either. Also didn’t come with (or MAP forgot to install them) the fog lights that my 2023 Badlands non-SAS/non-Lux did have. Also still looking for the garage door opener feature that I expected.

My 2026 Badlands has leather seats as an option and I went ahead and ordered the rug flooring instead of the plastic. I have no plans of ever hosing out the interior. The interior looks pretty good to me and I am a long time Toyota owner, plus very picky! I do wish the seats had at least two memory settings. Pic below shows seats with added covers for added protection.

Toyota is the last brand... or one of the last brands you want to look up when it comes to interior quality. I haven't been into any high tier Lexus products, but their lesser expensive products are not great either. The Bronco interior plastic quality and fit and finish is terrible. May be compared to a Toyota they are OK, but by any modern standards and considering it's pricing... it is terrible. Now I got mine for $38k and I'm not complaining, but there was no way I'm paying more than $40k for that much of a crappy interior let alone $70k.
Unfinished sharp molding ends. Misaligned speaker covers. Misaligned pillar covers. Loose trim. covers.

He touches on some things that concern me. Long life and cheap plastics. I love the Bronco and really hope to keep it for a long time. I think it has to be treated like a baby, garage kept and well maintained to last a long time. Not so much the body and frame. It’s everything else. I don’t want to buy another. Price is too high for everything that’s cheap about it. My thoughts are stripping out everything that makes it modern when the time comes and make it like a gen1.

I think he is wrong. The core engine, transmission, driveline, frame, body are of decent quality and have the potential to last. If you got the 2.3 and if you got the manual. :)
The rest is just good maintenance. Otherwise if you got it simple, with less gimmicks and failure prone electronics that will not age well... you will be good.
I follow this guy and his thing is also... "cheap" plastics... In reality there is no way for him to know. He is susceptible to the general opinion... I've seen his Honda reviews... All great quality plastics. BS. You simply don't know. Talking about mechanical parts, not interior.

So far… taking trim off, I haven’t broken any tangs… yet. Although I never mess with trim & tangs (interior or grills) in cold temps. It keeps cold brittleness minimal.

It’s definitely not high end, thick plastic, but I can appreciate the lower quality when lifting & grabbing, it comes apart relatively easy, flexes nicely to peek underneath and locate the tang, allows easier access and mods easily performed.

The large T-shaped B-Pillar trim… those can normally be a challenge to remove and it came off easily and disengaged with seat belt easily.

I also found over the years, thicker tighter trim also was more prone to creaks, rattles and squeaks… before & after disassembly. I’ve not heard any trim noise yet.

Overall for an Off-Road, take apart rig (roof, doors, etc)… I can’t complain on overall fit and finish… it looks good from the drivers seat. Could it be better… sure, but I think it was made to disassemble for all the mods thrown at it.

Plastic oil pans on 2.7 is why I went with 2.3 and manual. He is spot on that point.

Plastic is the direction for practically everything and Brands. I personally hate plastic pans… but even my 6.7 Diesel “had” plastic oil & tranny pans.

I would like to see a 3rd Party Aluminum Oil pan. PPE and a few others offer Aluminum Tranny pans.

I did get a chuckle when he called out the “lack of drain plug” for Tranny. Metal or plastic, I haven’t seen a OEM Tranny pan with a drain plug for years… decades!

No 2 door has power seats, for obvious reason. Doesn’t make sense to have to wait for a power seat to slide forward for someone to get in the back.
Honestly, as a heritage limited 2 door owner that was kinda pissed that every feature exists on my truck EXCEPT power seats, this is the first time I actually understand why and explains it to me in one sentence. And now it's totally acceptable to me!!! I never once thought they couldn't do power because flipping the seats forward would be a super long delay!! Bro, thank you!!! I'm actually now 💯 happy with my purchase finally!

Some of what he says in his videos is correct, some is not.
He complains about the interior plastics, but has no problem with them in the new 4Runner. I was about to buy a 6Gen 4runner before I bought my Bronco. The plastics in the 6Gen 4Runner are garbage, and the fit is terrible.
But he had no problem with them in the 4Runner.
I traded my 5 month old 6th gen for the Heritage. Seats were already ripping apart at the butt slide in/out, cheap 4 cylinder turbo whine and glitzy electronic gremlins. Definitely not the 5th gen which I loved. Resale took a hit too, big.

Is that only for 2D? My 4D does.
Not sure if it is only 2dr, but I seem to recall that the 4dr did have them. The early MY'21 2drs did not have them. I wish I had taken note of their handle, but there was a fairly active member that was a Tier1 supplier for the frame. I don't remember the "cutoff" when mounts were added.

@18:42 when Ahmed sits in the Bronco he says it is not fair to compare it to the 4Runner. “The 4Runner is not at this level”..

That is exactly what I thought when I sat in the Bronco -it sealed the deal for me and I cancelled my 6gen 4Runner order and bought the Bronco.

I also agree with location of grab handles. They don’t obstruct view and us tall folks don’t hit your head.
