48K 2025 Ford, Lincoln Vehicles Recalled Over EGR Valve Failures

Ford Bronco SUVs produced from December 10th, 2024, and November 24th, 2025

Not listed yet on the NHTSA website.

I am in the date range. I don't know if all engines (4 or 6 cyclender) have this problem.

Has any one had an EGR failure?

The Ford reference number for this recall is 26S10

The Bronco Sport also has the recall as do other Fords.

EGR valve failures on the 2.3 tend to show up as rough idle, hesitation on acceleration, and sometimes a P0401 or P0404 code before drivability issues really set in. If you are in the build date range and have not seen any codes yet, worth keeping an eye on idle quality -- the valve can stick intermittently before it sets a hard fault. Dealer handles it under recall at no cost, just make sure you get in the queue early since appointments book out fast when a recall drops.

Finally, having a 2021 pays off.... Guess I don't need to add this one to my list of recalls.
I have an early 2022, 6 cyl. (was supposed to have a 2021)....I have had virtually no recalls. Just the one for seat pivot bolts.

Yes, you can check the manufacture date from the VIN using position 10 (model year) but the actual build date is on the door jamb sticker -- it'll show the month and year the truck was assembled. For this recall Ford is using that build date to determine if your Bronco is in the affected range (Dec 10, 2024 through Nov 24, 2025). Easiest thing is just to pop the driver door and look for that sticker.

Is there a EGR delete thread for the 2.3 liter? Asking for a friend who has a 2024 2.3L

Does this include the new redesigned 2.3L in the 2025's?
My date of manufacture is 06/25.
