There are good videos online that show how to install and adjust if needed.Trying to decide if the @EZ4X4 EZ FlipTop is worth it and if there are any issue from those who already have one. Also, how difficult is the install. It seems everything has to be lined up perfectly and I’m not certain I trust myself doing it
lol! I thought the same thing!!! I’m gonna find out though…I’ve seen those. I’m just wondering if anyone has actually done it and if it’s as easy as shown.
Also curious if anyone has actually sat on their hardtop. Not sure I’d be cool with that
Just be careful when you do it. One of my front attachment hinges was just a smidge off when I laid just a part of it down but it stayed that way since once the piece touches the top, it is STUCK (good thing since you don't want the top panel flying off while driving).I’ve seen those. We use automotive grade 3M VHB adhesive! Used for tractor trailers!I'm always surprised by how trusting people are with double sided tape. For an application like this I just wouldn't trust it.
Expansion and contraction in extreme heat and extreme cold will always mess with double sided tape over time imo.
Let me know if you have any questions about the FlipTop!I was pretty set on getting a Bestop model to fold back the top, but saw the EZ Top when I joined yesterday. Up in the air, but think I may stick with the Bestop model.
Yeah its amazing!Autobody grade 3M or Norton two way tape is amazing I use it for many things recently got a big roll of 1 in. I reach for ir first. Just use acetone or alchohol to clean mating surfaces first and know it takes 24 hrs to set in for full bonding strength.
I use the flip top on my soft top all the time and if had hard rip would install them. Next best thing to an e-top.

Autobody supply sourced tape is superior to consumer grade. It'll hold a moulding on at 180 MPH+ and impervious to extreme cold as proven in Canada winters -25F. Mating surfaces must be super clean. No doubt you're using the best grade double sided tape known to man! I just wonder in areas where temperature extremes happen if it will last
