Best combo for 35s no lift

Loving my Badlands. I am fairly sure at this point that I want 35s and I’m not interested in a lift.

Will those that have added 35s to non Squatch models please share their favorite rim offset and tire combos?

Need to assure no rubbing without using spacers.

If you’re willing to share pics that’s great too.

Going through the same process right now... narrowed it down to two setups, but haven't decided yet so I'll be watching this thread.

• 285/75R17 - These are effectively 34s (33.9"). Doesn't require a lift and if my measurements are correct shouldn't require a new wheel either.
• The more "traditional" 35s (34.5"). 315/70R17 or 35x12.5R17 tires. Wheels I'm looking at range from +0 to +30 offset... I personally am trying to get as close as I can to +30 to minimize poke.

I had my eye out during the holidays to see if any of the wheels I liked were on sale. I'm aiming for ~$250/wheel, but of course none of the wheels I was looking at were on sale for that price... so... bleh. I really like the Fifteen52 wheels, and with a Bronco Nation membership you get a sizeable discount that effectively pays for the membership (and then some). BUT they only come in +0 offset, so... not sure I'm going that route. I also like a lot of Icon Dynamics wheels, and many of the wheels I like come with a +25 offset, which is awesome. But they were never on sale in the size I needed them, so again... bleh.

I may just go with 285/75R17. Not sure it is worth spending an extra $1250 - $1500 on a new set of wheels just to get an extra half an inch or so in diameter, and 1.2" extra in width.

Just bolt on some Sasquatch takeoffs, remove crash bars, and be done.

Or put some 35x10.5s on stock wheels. Or 35x12.5s on +35 to 0 aftermarket wheels.

I have been eyeing Mickey Thompson's 255/85/R17 Baja Boss A/T, as they are effectively 35" tall 10" wide tires. My concern is weather the badland's extra travel with its base suspension (non-squatch) and base wheels will rub with them installed at full flex.

I have a Badlands on 35" Wildpeaks and Raceline wheels with +18 offset. I installed just the bottom spacer of a 1" leveling kit. The kits come with spacers for both the top of the shock and for the bottom. Since a Sasquatch only has .43" lift over a Badlands, using only the bottom part of the leveling kit was perfect. The rear doesn't need anything. I have wheeled it and have had no rubbing. We did remove the crash bars, similar to how the Sasquatch already comes. The bottom spacer of the leveling kit is very easy to install, as it just bolts to the bottom two shock mount bolts.

I read some months ago that it may be necessary. Not sure though when moving from a 33 to a 35.

Not needed. I change out wheels/tires like underwear.

My Badlands is closer to accurate with 35s and stock programming. Actual speed was 58 with 60 indicated on 33s. Now actual is 61 at 60.

Just compared against a GPS speedo on my phone. I haven't checked the Sasquatch takeoffs I'm running now but I bet they're spot on since they're so short for a "35".

I got a wire harness from Rough Country that allows for tire size corrections without having to change computer values with Forscan. Debatable how beneficial doing this is. Since it's brand new, I figured do it all correctly from the beginning, and shift points and mileage would be relatively more accurate. BTW, pretty involved to install the plug in harness, it plugs into the back of the instrument cluster and the factory harness plugs into it.

i havent installed yet, but felt best bang for buck and no worries were SAS takeoffs, picked some up, got silver ring painted black. Now i "figure" from everything ive seen and read these +30 off set wheels, no crash bars on my badlands will be fine and bought SAS takeoffs WITH TIRES for $900, ALL FIVE!!
