  1. Upgrading speakers… Not that simple

No amp required, many have done just the speakers. I have the base 7 system. I did the Audison 4" and ran that way with no amp for about a month. There's a guy on Youtube that replaced his speakers with $35 / pair and they sounded significantly better. I was also hoping that 'premium' sound...
  2. Upgrading speakers… Not that simple

Best sound from a thumb drive with flac files. Not MP3 or any other format (unless it's lossless). It doesn't sound like that's your problem though. There's really no way to make the OEM system sound good without replacing everything.
  3. Upgrading speakers… Not that simple

For that price range, I would do the Hertz DCX 100.3. Many here have put them in and they fit. In the front, you have to remove a little plastic tab. It takes 5 seconds with snips.
  4. Upgrading speakers… Not that simple

You don't mention in the OP what speakers you bought that don't fit? I did Audison 4" coax front and rear and they fit fine. I did those 4 myself and had a car audio place do the rest last Friday. Amp: Audison SR6.6600 Audio Control LC7i-pro Audison Prima 4" Coaxial - front and rear pods...
  5. End of year 2026 Outer Banks w/ SAS discounts/incentives

I bought mine about a month ago and there are still lots of '25's left over. Prices were just starting to come down on those. If you really want to save right now, see if there's a '25 that you like. Lots of '25 Badlands in my area. Couldn't find any '25 OBX SAS. Figure the previous year...
  6. OK AUDIOPHILES, what do we think of this STEREO BUILPLAN?

It fills a gap because it's easy to install vs. a 'normal' amp that requires someone knows what they're doing, run power to the battery, etc. I have read that it makes more sense to set it up to just run the front speakers, but that gets more into expert territory with knowing how to do that...
  7. OK AUDIOPHILES, what do we think of this STEREO BUILPLAN?

The largest difference you can make is installing an amp. You can't really begin to have it sound good without one. Though opinions are subjective. If it sounds 'good enough' then that's up to you. For the most part, you get what you pay for. For Forscan, I believe the rear is not setup...
  8. OK AUDIOPHILES, what do we think of this STEREO BUILPLAN?

Ok, makes sense with B&O and not Bose. From your post, I just assumed the Raptor is different... So with that Goose Gear package, that does limit your space for the sub. If the large area of the rear is not covered on the passenger side, that is where the OEM sub is. Though if you have other...
  9. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I wouldn't bother for the crawl mode. Those are just a gimmick. I've never needed anything other than 4hi and 4lo. Though I belive you can add it in Forscan. Can also get rid of double honk. Nothing wrong with a little Ass though!
  10. Badlands vs. Outer Banks w/Sasquatch

Sounds like I made the same decision. I ended up getting an OBX SAS. Only difference is I didn't want the Lux package. I prefer the look of the OBX interior. More like an SUV that will be a DD. The carpet should be less noisy. The main thing I don't like is the plastic bumpers. Though...
  11. OK AUDIOPHILES, what do we think of this STEREO BUILPLAN?

I'm not familiar with the bose system or Goose Gear. Essentially budget is key. I just did an all aftermarket system for about $2000. Though was able to use the sub from my previous DD. If you don't want to take up any room, I've read it's not too much work to get an 8" in the factory location...
  12. Finding the most comfortable tires on road

I'm just puzzled why the OEM Fox would seem too rough. Have others complained of this? I'd also make sure all are working optimally and not damaged. Could also be an option to see if Ford will replace them under warranty. One option, if they're rebuildable: Might be able to send them to a shock...
  13. Winch recommendations for capable bumper

One of the best looking options I've seen. Puts it in a decent spot where it's not going to get damaged.
  14. OK AUDIOPHILES, what do we think of this STEREO BUILPLAN?

I figure with the kick panels, pretty much anything is going to be fine. It's not a good spot for mids or highs (firing into your ankles), but a good area for mid-bass. I thought of getting a component woofer, but my sales guy said it wouldn't hurt to have a tweeter there too. I even thought...
  15. Finding the most comfortable tires on road

I don't have the Fox, I have the SAS Bilstein and find the GY RT tires very comfortable. I have them at 37psi. So not sure what the issue is. I had Falken AT4W on my previous DD (Ram 1500) and they were very smooth. If offroading some more, the MT Baja Boss are probably the best AT.
