I would remove the spare and see if there are any deformations in the plastic body of the tire holder. That should tell you if it was an impact. Also, it looks like dirt in side. Do you have any mud dobbers in the area?
You can grease the ends of the break pads and reinsert into the caliper. Might help the noise, but you are basically doing a break job without changing the pads.
@Bird Dog Off Road It's more of an area. North of Phoenix, off the 17. Table Mesa is a popular shooting area, 4x4 area, hiking area, etc. https://www.google.com/maps/search/Table+Mesa/@34.0444214,-112.6249896,127209m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu
Ours started doing this in very early April, maybe late March. All the other Fordpass functions seem to work. I think we have the updated app, at least the UI changed, but this Detroit problem has been since before the app change.
This has been going on a few months now. I got tired of it last night, reset to factory settings, reconnected my phone, and my Bronco is still showing it is parked in Detriot.
Has anyone fixed it? If so, how?
Welcome! Hope you get a chance to explore before the heat comes! Facebook has several active Arizona bronco and off-roading groups. This forum doesn't get a whole lot of action.
Searching around I did find this as an option: https://findpigtails.com/connector/r65b6/
But 100 bux for a connector and some wires is insane.
My wife started searching and came up with...
that are used on the panel under the steering wheel? I had to get to the fuse box to install a dash cam, and those clips play plinko and fall into a gap in the paneling where the speaker is. I have lost 3 of them now, and need to find some more.
