I worry about Tailgaters all the time. I almost believe they are all taught to follow too closely in NY. (i.e. If you can count to three between you and the car ahead of you, you SHOULD move closer to get home quicker.)
Just one more step to completely eliminating any 2-door options across the entire brand. No wonder this new Slate truck is getting so much attention (over 150K pre-orders already).
This is how things are evolving on these 'connected' vehicles. I hear that other vendors are charging fees to activate pretty normal built-in features besides Navigation. (think like Self-driving, heads-up display, camera data capture, etc.)
I went ahead and got it because I like that it's built-in and readily available. I agree that Google Maps and even Apple Maps would likely provide all I need, but I also like having the Home Automation (open/close garage, turn lights on/off, etc.) with the Alexa-enabled interface as well.
I have something similar for the (aftermarket) center console tray. As an added bonus, the file I used carved a 'Bronco' script in it as well. (sorry no pics).
Just to reassure you that leaving a switch on will make the lights come on automatically with start. I have my Grill letter lights on SW 5 and just leave it on all the time. Goes off when stopped.
Ha ha - I made up reasons to go out to the Garage (take out the trash, recycling, etc.) to have another look at mine - you know, just to be sure that it's not a dream.
