There was someone else on here a while back who cut theirs off because they didn't like it. Looked pretty clean. I personally like it and it was one of the reasons I ordered it.
Still never figured out why autoplicity canceled my order months ago. Ended up having to get from Walmart for a few...
Nice! Thanks for posting.
I'm having issues with my winches currently, and was contemplating getting a cheap one off Marketplace in the meantime. Just ordered one of these to hopefully tie me over till I figure something out. Will be good to have a cheap backup. Ended up $102 with taxes and...
That's good to know! Although I thought if I finally did it, I think I would try to Source One of the low profile inlets that doesn't go up the a-pillar. Sounds counterintuitive, but honestly my biggest reason for doing it would be to get the intake away from the very front of the grill.
Yeah they definitely won't be cheap, but I feel like they'll be available from the factory at the very least. Doesn't look like the heritage's are going away anytime soon, and the Chinese Broncos have the same fenders so there should be options. But like I say you'll probably have to go new...
You'd have to replace your rear fenders as well to match, people have added the cost up and it's quite expensive. You might as well go ahead and chop the factory Fender up, and absolute worst case scenario if you botch it, just buy another of the same fender.
Yeah basically water getting in your breathers could potentially be an immediate problem, or at least an eventual one. But your alternator being in water isn't really a major issue. Now if you get sand, mud and grime in your alternator that can be an issue, but freshwater really isn't the end...
Yeah wondering the same, especially with larger grippier tires. Someone posted an article the other day in another thread that talked about that, it basically said that yes there is greater chance of breakage without it.
ETA...
Yes they are already well over 40". And the more lift and bigger ger tires they get higher and higher.
And I can confirm the manual is totally fine with the water. 😉
This was me stuck in a hole a week or so ago. Didn't look like much, but I'm siting on the frame rails.. 😁
The winch quit on me, and had no luck with a static pull. Actually technically got my friend stuck also and had to dig a little to get her out.
Had to run into town and buy a Badlands...
