They sure do! You made the right move, you’re going to love it!
Don’t worry any more about it! You’re going to get it on the truck and never think again about that hard top-shaped coffee table you get for free with every bestop purchase lol
Looks like you’re still waiting for a Bestop owner in this thread. I just installed one on my Bronco two weeks ago so I cannot answer all of your questions but can answer a few.
I have a 2 door with the 2.7 and Sasquatch and the top had the sound dampening headliner then I installed the top...
Could be a curb weight or suspension detail or some combination.
Kinda like how different trims have different tow capacities and some trims didn’t allow you to order with a roof rack at all (at least originally).
My guess is that the Everglades falls into that category where the roof rack...
Yeah they do this (and always have). I remember making a post about this early in the reservation days when they were taking the show units around.
Mine does it, too. I agree with some of the other commenters that it appears to be dust/dirt. I think the dust deposits around the windows and then...
I hope they do! I have had the current slant back on for a week and it’s been a game changer for the 2 door
this would look way better when the top is thrown back compared to the current trektop
I like the slant back look but I may be in the minority on this forum on that one
My planned installed was delayed until today. Sounds like you got it figured out
for anyone else who stumbles into this post, if you push on the far back of that little plastic trim (the edge nearest to the sides of the vehicle) then the plastic will raise ever so slightly. You can fit a trim...
Also, removing the top imperfectly has been known to crack the seal around the windows and allow water to leak in (at least in early roof units; maybe/hopefully they figured it out)
How handy are you? Are you willing to cut some lumber?
Also, are you trying to remove with a hoist from the ceiling?
If you’re comfortable with a saw, drill, and are hoisting from the roof, I think you could easily rig something up to lift it all in one unit
My only comment would be that...
My next Bronco purchase is going to be our first carseat but the YouTube video showing the stock vs MRT sounds awesome! My inner 14 year old offers condolences for your inner 14 year old lol
Certainly - I don’t know all Bronco owners, of course. Only a handful in New England and the Midwest. Enough of a sample size that I suspect that outdoor storage during winters (a few thermal cycles) or removal of the top is likely all it takes to make a crack around those windows.
Yeah I’ve had this same problem. Seems like a common issue for the roofs (so common that I don’t know of a Bronco hard top owner who doesn’t have the issue after a year of ownership)
I put my Bronco away for the winter and use this battery maintainer all winter.
There’s a battery measurement sensor doohicky on one of the terminals. Just have to make sure that you connect outside that sensor so it gives you an accurate power charge level. Otherwise, 10/10
