Help with Trektop installation- Stuck

I have been working to install the Trektop and have gotten to the tailgate bar retainer. I cannot get the panel to pop off like he does in the video. I am terrified I am going to break it. He does not use any tools and is able to pop it back. Am I doing something wrong on this or does it just take a lot more force than the video shows? It starts at about the 11 minute mark in the video

I got it. It was hard to pull off the first time but after that I could pop it off and back on easily.

My planned installed was delayed until today. Sounds like you got it figured out

for anyone else who stumbles into this post, if you push on the far back of that little plastic trim (the edge nearest to the sides of the vehicle) then the plastic will raise ever so slightly. You can fit a trim remover tool (or flathead screwdriver) and carefully pry off the plastic.

I found it helpful to move the flat head closer to the roll bar to give the plastic trim more flexibility which eased disengagement
