Tips and advice from those who have experience on the best products or ways to keep the bronco looking it’s best, avoid wear and tear from the trail, etc. I see some product posts on here, but it would be great to get some opinions.

Clay bar it, then Ceramic coat it. Several good Youtube channels on how to properly install ceramic coating. Use a respirator.

Thanks, I’ll check them out. I’ve seen some ads on here for the aero product line. The ceramic coating is interesting. I’ve seen a few examples with it, looks real slick. This may sound naïve, but does anyone use an automatic car wash or does everybody washed by hand?

So I live in an apartment complex and was not quick enough to get one of the garages, so im stuck with the Bronco sitting outside. Dealing with not having my own garage or my own pressure washer forces me to have to take it to one of those DIY Washing bays.

Anyways- rule of thumb, if you were to do this, never use the brush provided there- ONLY use the pressure washer functions for the presoak, soap, high pressure rinse and spotless rinse. Make sure you bring drying towels ( I got 2 Meguiars Water Magnets from Amazon, they do a great job, leaving no scratches or waterspots after drying).

Once I get the vehicle mostly dried, I will go ahead and use Xtreme shine (spray wax) to literally wipe everything down. I know theres other "quick detailer" products out there, but this is by far the best I have ever used. It will leave 0 streaks on any surface of your vehicle while protecting the surfaces at the same time. I make sure to use a few good microfibers with it (never use the same one on wheels as you do on paint/windows ofcourse). In addition to this, I also use CAR GUYS no sling tire shine (amazon again), goes on very easy and lasts for a good amount of time, even if it rains.

I am getting my Broncos Pillars wrapped with XPEL ( I already have a 3rd of the front end done) and also getting it ceramic coated in a week.

Hope this helps.

I bet you use a leaf blower too.... Not on your truck, I mean. Just to annoy your neighbors lol
Nah and I wash my cars/truck at my welding shop so my neighbors are never annoyed. :)

Seems like the right thread to add on a question... what about making sure the fenders and other MIC plastic trim doesn't fade over time?

I like Poor Boys trim restorer...
No silicone... Not overly shiny...
Probably be fine on the MIC roof too 🙄

I purchased an EGO 650 CFM leaf blower once i confirmed my build date. Works great for touchless drying and to get water out of the MIC top seams (heard its a pain to towel dry, as you get constant water run off after towel drying). Plus I am sure it will come in handy to blow out the roof seals down the road. FYI I recommend the 5ah battery over the 2.5, especially if you want to attempt to dry off two cars in one session. 2 cars = 80-90% use of the larger battery

Word of advice, be careful with the badge stickers and high output blowers. Avoid hitting them head on, as I noticed a slight deterioration on just one drying session. But now I know...

I bought some Chemical Guys products based on this thread and am completely amazed. I just ordered more. The VRP does a great job on the flares and the vinyl stickers I put on the sides. The general cleaner made mud and grit on the interior go away with little effort.
