I hate the blue interior. If that is the only option, I will most likely change to the Badlands. I hope Ford didn’t order 7,000 of these blue interiors.

I dont think it would look bad with the Cyber Orange, but that’s about the only scheme it would be acceptable in.

maybe Ford is looking to whittle back to 3500....at this rate, it might be 350.

if we don’t get better choices, I.ll drop to a Badlands, Sasquatch, and go with the blue ext, white top and white marine interior- giving me what I really wanted to start with and saving 10k or more.

but I’ll be patient and wait until we get the configurator up and running. No worries for me-I wasn’t crazy about the 4 color choices for exterior to start with.

‘I was honestly hoping the FE would mean we getsomething like original blue and white top, or a freewheelin graphics nod, or SOMETHING that is special and relates to the past.

we will see.

I used to get asked for my opinion on Shelby development, but I don’t even know any of these folks.

She gets it! And what's worse is that navy and black don't go together in the first place... So tack on an exterior color that doesn't match?

I agree! Ditch the black part and make it ALL BLUE. Like the color in the Ford oval. Ill take one in Oxford White. Porsche and Mercedes have done that combo well for decades. Gorgeous!

Nope that’s not what first editions are man. I won’t repeat. I get the frustration though really I do! But first editions typically don’t allow much customization AT ALL. That’s why the FE bronco comes with every option. Lol. First editions are about having a UNIQUE option (usually color combinations) or unique parts to make them stand out against all the other trucks with common general run-of-the-mill options.because they come with custom features already like you got it a blue interior that nobody else can get on any other model. Yes I’m saying you’re paying $60k FOR that blue interior lol. Because I think that that is the only unique option to the FE bronco
Not to disagree with you, but the Navy Pier interior is straight from the Outerbanks trim level. So the unique interior theory isn't correct.
The FE is advertised as having the best features from all the other trim levels combined in one. Screen shot direct from ford website.

The light gray / white interior is the BOMB. But it is just for marketing.

Plus, I am waiting for them to add GREEN to the color palette.

Not to burst your bubble, but the Navy Pier interior is straight from the Outerbanks trim level. So the unique interior theory just got flushed down the drain.

Yeah but Ford also says on the trim page the FE has a "Unique Interior". So what I think they meant by "the interior of an Outer Banks" is about materials and not necessarily color, and translates to carpet and leather.

FYI - the entire point of the First Edition is that every one is almost exactly the same, with a couple options in paint color. They build a whole lot of one fully loaded Bronco, paint it one of 3 or 4 colors, and ship them. Limited variation means they can build them faster. They probably chose Navy Pier or whatever because they could get the required materials for it the fastest. They're basically "first articles."
What you say makes sense, to a point. For it to work Ford would have to pick the most popular paint colors (I'm not sure they have, my opinion), maybe even a color only offed for the FE (Cyber Orange is also offered on Wildtrak). Navy Pier seems to be the Least Popular interior. However this interior would go with any exterior color and looks truly First Edition worthy.

I've never been one for saddle leather interiors except on very specific vehicles - I don't really like this interior at all as it's all various earth tones and oranges. The whole interior reads on the neutral side of orange to me.

Dude. It's you that doesn't get it. The Bronco is advertised fully as the Burger King's "Have It Your Way" vehicle. With all the aftermarket parts, the options, etc, to bring Mercedes into the conversation isn't relevant.

That said, the FE is the tippy-top option, so you'd think you'd have at least equal customization opportunity as the lesser options.
That's not entirely true - in a normal model year, it is not the tippy top option, it flat out won't exist past those initial 7,000 units. That designation belongs to either Badlands (for rock crawling) or Wildtrak (for desert running). As has been pointed out, limited edition models are usually just that -limited in what you can choose.

I hear ya on not liking that Ford showed one thing and now it’s not a thing. I get that for sure. But in that case, just switch to another model.

Regardless of Ford or Mercedes, First Editions are packages that contain specific color combinations that uniquely identifies a limited production vehicle. Otherwise it’s not very limited if it’s just a combination of general options. You’re lucky that Ford is offering exterior color options. Actually, below I think there’s a case for saying they should have limited the exterior colors even more on the FE. Ford could have just as easily say pick a color on the outside that goes with the interior. See below...

Regardless, the FE is not the model for you now. Just like a Mercedes with bright yellow stripes was not for me. At least on the bronco (I believe) you can get every other FE option (other than the blue interior) on almost any other model. With the Mercedes, you could only get yellow stitched seats in the first edition so you were shit out of luck if yellow stitched seats were what you truly wanted. My point, you have to decide if you truly want a first edition or you want color choices. Because other than that Ford is giving you all the same options in the other models.

I think Ford should have limited the exterior colors on the FE to colors that go better with the blue interior. With that said I think the blue interior will look bad ass with a lot of colors. I didn’t order a first edition so I don’t know which exterior colors are going to be available but that blue interior will look great with white, black, charcoal gray, cactus gray, silver, any of the blue colors. Just not the yellows or reds.
This - it's a limited edition in limited colors.

Did this channel just turn into a D*** measuring contest? Point is the interior is fugly. If you want to make it a single option, make it something more appealing to the masses, something people wish they could get in their Badlands, Wildtrak, etc. The blue and black isnt unique and a lot of people find it off-putting. A quality brown leather interior would match every exterior color....

That being said, once the builder is up and running, I'll compare a built out Badlands vs a FE. Im just upset that Ive waited yrs for this release, dragging my beater around, giving it CPR at least once a yr so I could afford a top of the line Bronco, and a garbage looking interior is gonna keep that from happening.

More power to the few that like the blue interior and congrats to the dealers that will inherit the dropped reservations.

Mic Drop
I don't think it's fugly. I'd choose it if I could.

By that I think they mean more the full trims of it - I'd have to imagine it'll have something more unique.
