So what is the general feeling on the old B6g group that our converted 2022 orders will get built and delivered in 2022 or will we be reordering for 2023. Mine is a WT, I stuck with the hardtop, but that is the only specific constraint other than the entire package, V6, Lux, etc. I was also a late reservation, mid 2021. I'm trying to get my expectations rooted in reality. These supply chain issues aren't helping matters either not to mention what happens if China invades Taiwan.

Some will, some won’t. Depends on how many Broncos your dealer gets allocated to them, how many reservations they have and supply chain constraints.

The consensus should be no one really knows since every one of the items I listed can change daily.

Well this is a “dealer says” situation so take it with a grain of salt.

I would say no to getting it in 2022. I have two reserved (long story) and my first is a late 2020 reserve that my dealer expects in 3rd-4th quarter 2022. I also have a mid summer 2021 reservation like you and he says that will be a mid 2023 most likely.

Take it with a grain of salt and maybe I’m so far out because these are both loaded Badlands models. Both four door Badlands, soft tops, Lux, leather, 2.7, etc. I think window sticker is right at $61k.

I have an early day 2 reservation, my dealer thinks it unlikely I get it in Q1 or Q2 2022. Based on being a 2dr and how many other earlier reservations he has. He would not hazard a guess beyond that.

I'm a 13 July reservation, so if I can't get a 2022 build we are all screwed.

I'm not sure when I'll see mine. I accept that, and I need to stop reading the forums/dealing with this shit and go find something else to do until I get my email it's being built, but I wanted to move to a local dealer where I'm higher on the list.

After that, I'm going to shut off my brain to this stuff not think about the Bronco until I get a phone call. Even after the build email you have a few weeks, that's when I'll start ordering my accessories, etc. The only thing I could see ordering early are my shocks because I know the brand I'm looking at are WAY backordered.

I'm annoying the people in my house, it's affecting my mood at times, and it's just frustrating beyond belief. All for a car I don't NEED and a system that is broken so bad it doesn't matter when you reserved your vehicle.

I saw a post on here from someone who ordered mid 2021 and has a vin. I'm just lost. I don't get it and don't think I will.
I agree, time to shut it off and let the chips fall where they may. I am in no need and no hurry, maybe if it drags out I can switch to the coveted heritage edition.

The #1 biggest factor, beyond even dealer allocations or your timestamp, is how many Broncos Ford will be able to produce. Anyone who works in manufacturing (or logistics, or sales) can tell you that right now it's extremely difficult to predict the future.

My guess is that Ford wants and hopes to ship all soft/MIC reservations in 2022. But they are at the mercy of extremely chaotic supply chain and labor situations.

I’m sure you’re right, but current allocations seem to be a lot less than the number of reservations.

Currently dealers have only been given numbers for the first month. Stephens reports that their rep told them that they will not even receive numbers for future months, the Broncos will just arrive when they arrive. The entire situation is in tremendous flux.

I do think Ford truly wants to avoid a situation where a bunch of stock MIC Broncos are being built ahead of reservations, but maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I’m a day 3 and looking at a 2023 with the current allocations. At a recent off-roadeo, I was the only owner out of 16 that didn’t either have a VIN or the Bronco. Very frustrating. I need to disconnect, but also afraid of missing some critical news. Blech.

Started looking at Wranglers.

Sounds like timestamps is a priority only until dealer allocations are met. So dealer allocations may be even more important than timestamp at many dealers.

Think of it roughly like Ford has one big master list, ordered by timestamp. Every time a Bronco is set to get produced, it takes a look at a fresh copy at the list. You get bumped off the list if your Bronco has already been produced, if Ford doesn't have all the parts, or if your dealer has maxxed out its allocations for that time period. The first Bronco left over in line gets built. Then when it's time to make the next Bronco, it takes another look at a fresh copy of the list.

Ford imagined that lots of Broncos would be produced, that there wouldn't be any major parts shortages, and that allocations and reservations would be roughly proportional at each dealer (as they kinda were under the 2021 formula). If those conditions had held, the Broncos would indeed have been produced in roughly timestamp order.

All three of those assumptions have been flushed down the toilet. The first two because of supply chain issues, the last one because of complaints from (or legal obligations to) big dealers.

The timestamp-based master list still exists, but so many builds get eliminated for parts and allocations that the order of production is all out of whack and builds near the bottom of the list can easily jump ahead of builds near the top.

I was pushed to a 2022. Second day reservation 7/14, Wildtrak Lux Package, MIC top, Sasquatch! I have tried to find out when I could possibly get it.

My rep thinks around April, but not sure. I said, “ If I’m pushed a 2023..I would raise HELL.” He said, “The only way that would happen if Ford plant catches fire!” I said, “At this point it’s possible.”

I literally had to find a “in between vehicle “ to drive. My SIL had a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited she’s letting me drive until I get my Bronco.

I’m so over this! I think it’s kind of funny..I’m driving a Jeep waiting on a Bronco!

If I don’t get the Bronco in 2022, I will be getting my own Jeep!

My 2013 suburban LTZ 4x4, 190,000 miles...I’m selling! The Jeep I’m driving now. And my Bronco I’m waiting for!

I’m very hopeful for next year personally.

I’m order #38 at my dealer. Thus far they have received 4 customer orders (and two mannequins). They should get another ~6-8 or so before the end of the year—all were dirt mountain Broncos waiting for hard tops (and are now waiting for airbags).

They were not heavily impacted by the dealer allocation formula change, so I expect the pace to pick up a bit. Guessing it’ll be scheduled around April-ish and built over the summer
