Time frame is too long. I've bought a couple of vehicles while they were still on the truck. Prep doesn't take more than a half day and that is if they are busy.

I’ve bought 15 new cars over the past 5 years I’ve never heard of that. @flip Did Ford add this to the PDI for the Bronco?

I just heard from my dealership, they told me that my Bronco is expected to be delivered between Aug 14 and Aug 20 but that may change. I was also told that the safety inspection that's completed before the sale can be processed will take 5 to 7 DAYS!

They are going to shop it to see if they can get more money

5-7 days should be plenty of time to sell @ $20k markup

The dealership has been great to work worth so far. I really hope there some sort of misunderstanding happening right now.

Has anyone heard anything close to that amount of time to turn over their vehicle? I was under the impression that it would take several hours.

They’re going to do their inspection on the showroom floor. I call BS on your dealer.

Ford pays us .9, yes, not even one full hour to perform a PDI. Safety inspection? May have meant PDI and that the service dept. was so backed up it would be that long before they could work it through. Less likely, they are sending a FSE to look at something for QC or ID'd an issue after it left the plant.

Hopefully it's just a busy service department.

Yeah, I would demand timestamped pictures of it while still on the delivery truck and also then of the odometer. Anything more than a mile or two more than that at pick up and I’d be bitching up a storm.

When I bought my 2013 Raptor, I arrived as they were pulling it off the truck, did a test drive as soon as it hit the ground, and did the paperwork and was out within an hour or two

Then dealer told him new price of $60k, instead of $39k build sheet -

Have ordered a few vehicles and it was always stated no one test drives unless prior permission was given. See if you can get a pic of the odometer upon delivery.
