Can someone explain what Ford's price lock guarantee means for those of us who ordered before March 19th? If that's the case but the dealership can still add ADM then what is the point? I'm a Z plan customer so I thankfully don't have to worry about this but if I were expecting to pay the price of my order that Ford said was locked for 2 years only to find out that the dealership can decide to add whatever markup they want after that I would be livid! I have my DORA but it isn't signed and I trust my dealership but now I'm wondering what tricks I may need to protect myself from. I know I'm a 22MY so I'll be "reordering" when those order banks open and I'm wondering if I need a signature now from the dealership stating what my exact expectations are. I'm actually shocked that a dealership would do this and think that the original owner wouldn't raise absolute hell for doing this.
The only thing they mean by price lock is they won’t raise the MSRP the dealer is still free to charge ADM.

I think it's so Ford won't raise your price. Of course 2022 and 2023 models will be more expensive. So your locked into MSRP. Right?

Have you seen a reservation number or a time stamp or any thing that says this true???
I’m taking at face value. If it’s bogus that’s a different conversation. My point is ANY dealer that pulls stuff like this craps on the ones that do the right thing. I have NO tollerance for this kind of stuff.

Well if you read back, the dealer replies and is aware of a situation and assures us it'll be made right. Seems pretty legit.
So I have a Build date and VIN number given to me by Ford ( email ). She should have the same thing. If they sold her Bronco with her VIN Number this dealer is in a world of hurt and real penalties from Ford.

I haven’t heard good things about Galpin.
Me too to tell you the fruth. But I've had poor service at about every dealer for every car and motorcycle I've ever bought. :-/ So i went for it. BUT, and this is important, I spoke with my salesperson for about 25 minutes before i picked them. I also talked to a few other salespersons from other dealers. I got a great vibe and feeling about this guy. So I made the deal. So far, great service.

I put my order in on March 9th so I better be!! It sure sounds like Ford and the dealerships truly underestimated the passion we have for this vehicle. To think that you could do this to an early reservation holder and not expect to get explosive rage from this community is so short sighted of that dealership. They deserve everything they got coming!

Earlier in the thread the managing partner said he’s gonna make it right. To bad we might not know the outcome.
It's easy enough to edit or delete a Google Review. So, once the dealership does the right thing, folks here can decide if it's the right thing for them to change or delete their negative review.

If you go back a few pages a forum member emailed the managing partner of that dealership and he confirms the woman has a reservation at his dealership.

This was on my dealers site. Should be enough to cover my ass?

I actually moved my reservation from villa Ford down to kearny Mesa. No specific reason other than that Eric at Kearny was very vocal and open about not only honor x-plan pricing, but also that nothing above MSRP would be charged. He has actually backed that up as recently as 7/10 in an email.
that being said, the guys at villa Ford have always been cool and is where I will be getting additional accessories and services through. Additionally, they did say at the bronco tour that they wouldn’t be charging above MSRP. I guess in the end I just felt more comfortable with Eric’s knowledge of the bronco and the process and his openness about pricing

I'm sure I could have gone in or done it differently, but as I recall, my salesperson called me in March to say, hey, we better actually build this thing or you will lose your place in line. I was on set, and we did it all very quickly over the phone in between takes. Then he emailed me everything.

Galpin works with a lot of movie folk, everybody I have talked to is happy with them. I've been in the business for 32 years.

They still did it even if they get pressured to do what they should have done in the first place

The price gouging is offensive on its own.
But at least let me test drive my own vehicle and decide if I want it before allowing other people to and acting like it’s for sale.
I’d light the damn car on fire out of spite of this happened to me.
