Hi there,

I am a Jeep owner, have been through 3 Wranglers in the last 20 years and absolutely love them. My current Jeep is a 2016 2DR JK Rubicon Red Rock edition with 150k miles on it. Time to get a new one...

But, thought I'd give the Bronco a chance. I have had really good luck in Ford products over the years and was heartbroken when the original Bronco was discontinued (I really wanted one back then too...)

98% of my driving miles are on paved roads, not over bolders so I'm thinking that IFS would actually be a good thing for me.

I put in a reservation back in February, paid my money and haven't heard a thing. Dealer keeps telling me, no word, and they don't have a clue when I can actually see one. Pictures are great, but it's just not enough to hold me off for very much longer.

What is going on here? This seems like a compete mess up on Ford's part, where rumor rules the day instead of hard facts on when, which does not instill much confidence in a version 1 product. I know they have delivered some units by reading it online here, but i don't think 5 units delivered counts as a production car. Anyone know where in CA I can actually sit in one, look at it in person and make a reasonable but subjective decision?

I own a herd of Jeeps, been doing it for a long time. Hasn't Ford always said deliveries would start at this time? I just placed my order, so no year long wait for me...yet. But, at this point that's what I'm expecting. My dealer gets there first Broncos within days (might be there right now). My salesman agreed to call me as soon as the first one hits so we can go look at it in person, before it gets delivered. I don't see why your salesperson wouldn't do the same. The folks who are getting the first few are going to have to put up with lots of people checking out there Broncos before they get there to pick them up, but I don't see what anyone would really mind.

I had a pretty sizeable burrito for breakfast, so I'm in a good mood today, let's help this guy out.

- Reservation in February will most likely put you on a 2022 Bronco, possibly late 22. A good portion of us made reservations almost a year ago
- Dealer demo units should have arrived, or arriving soon. Reach out to a few dealers in your area and ask when theirs is arriving so you can see one in person. You don't need to have a reservation at the dealer to check theirs out
- If you have not heard from your dealer, call the bronco hotline (you will need to search for that #) and give them your reservation #. They will most likely tell you the reservation has not been converted to an order due to current availability
- I was at the dealer yesterday and an older couple pulled up in a Subaru asking the same questions as OP. "When did these start showing up, can I buy this one, etc". We need to remember the general public thinks this is a regular car you can walk in and buy, or order and it shows up in a few weeks. Everyone at work thinks I'm a nutcase because "I still don't have a car I ordered a year ago"...feed the good wolf guys

If just a troll, well...I have nachos in the toaster oven now and the game starts in 30min so it's going to be hard to upset me today.

Welcome to the forum. A lot has happened since you reserved. Like the previous poster said, you’re looking at a MY22. That’s if you want the good stuff (Wildtrak, Badlands, Sasquatch, 2.7,2 door, etc). If you just want something simple like a base, big bend, or Black diamond with the 2.3 , no Sasquatch, and a soft top, in theory you could call your dealer and say you want to convert to an order. You may get a MY21.

Hey OP,

you might consider waiting as there are new colours in the next model year and a heritage edition and possibly a warthog edition. Unless, you are in an extreme hurry may be worth to wait. I have been waiting for a bronco for about 5 years, so not as long as some forum members hoping for like 20+ for a new bronco. Just my two cents.

Did you reserve it online? Have you actually gone in and ordered it from the dealer?

Your dealer likely didn’t contact you since they believe you are a 2022 order and they only care about 3Q21 right now.

That said, if you are ok with a Base, Big Bend, Or Black Diamond 4 door with a soft top, if you place an order now you have a shot at a 2021.

My ‘08 JKUR has 156k miles and it is time for a new ride here as well.

Good luck!

So...

I don't even know if the OP has an ORDER or not. He put in a reservation in February. Sounds like his dealer never even contacted him to turn that into an order, which is pretty typical.

If he wants a 4-door soft top, then he should convert as soon as possible. If he wants a 2-door, or 4-door MIC top then it probably doesn't matter if he waits until September to convert.

Rod, keep in mind the '22 order banks open on Sept. 13th. You may want to make your dealer aware of this fact also, so you can get your order in again. Don't rely on your dealer to know what's going on at any given time. Dealers that really pay attention are few, and far between. With all of that, depending on your trim, and options you may not see yours in your driveway until maybe the 3rd quarter of '22. Ford has had some mis-steps of their own, but the biggest problems now are the suppliers.

Now, take some time and go through the forum threads. There's a ton of info here to help you be a well informed (much more than your dealer) buyer. Then keep coming back as info flies in fast. Welcome to the forum.
