BS. The OP should out the dealer.Be nice if you could publicly ridicule these sort of practices... but you’d likely be sued if you did.
I got $1000 under invoice - in writing and the dealer has never suggested that it would. Us ge even I the slightest. In a strange situation like this, you as the customer have nothing to hold over the dealership; none of us do. They have us by the short n curlys.
$1000 under invoice is something I've read, but not sure I believe. More like for $1000 OVER invoice, which is about $2500 under MSRP.
This isn't a luxury car. There is no "super" profit built into the price of manufacturing as some think. A Benz has a crazy mark up, yes, but R&D is a heavier investment as well.
This is a Ford. Yes, there is profit, but not a lot. $1000 "under" invoice would likely be losing money for the dealership, so they have absolutely no incentive to do that. Particularly wouldn't do it for the Bronco. It would be more profitable for them to do something to make you walk so they can then sell your Bronco. This will happen; a lot, so be careful and again, don't be greedy.
So you're calling Granger and Stephens Auto Center (both of which have already delivered cars and kept to their deal) liars?$1000 under invoice is something I've read, but not sure I believe. More like for $1000 OVER invoice, which is about $2500 under MSRP.

Not sure.why was I under the impression that Ford told the dealers they needed to honor the MSRP and no price gauging.
Yep, I can't count for nothing. Even calculators are so complex for me.So you're calling Granger and Stephens Auto Center (both of which have already delivered cars and kept to their deal) liars?
And you seem really bad at basic math. $1000 under invoice + incentives > dealer cost.
Thought Ford indicated in their communications that all order holders are price protectedRecently I was informed by my dealer that they were changing a policy to charge “market value” rather than MSRP. I specifically went with this dealer because they originally promised they wouldn’t up charge the bronco and would only charge MSRP. Of course they made this change and informed order holders after the deadline to change dealers. Anyone else being faced with this issue? Several legal issues come to mind with this tactic not to mention consumer protection issues.
It's good to know your limitations. Kudos.Yep, I can't count for nothing. Even calculators are so complex for me.
Thank goodness for your big brain here to help educate us all. So thankful you're such a blessing!![]()
Only what Ford will charge. You’re not buying from Ford.Thought Ford indicated in their communications that all order holders are price protected
Guess we will see. All I can say is bait and switch always ends up bad for a dealer, and for Ford. Good luck everyone!Only what Ford will charge. You’re not buying from Ford.
I did not say you would win. But I think you might. Anyhow, the American court system is inundated with "Pests" you start suing people, who cannot afford to lawyer up like sales guys and sales managers, you get their attention and they decide "Lets just honor this build sheet with a price" Its my opinion, the build sheet is an agreement and one lawyer may agree, another may disagree. That my friend is the legal industry. The two lawyers make a few thousand each and the judge decides. Buyer either gets the Bronco, damages or nothing. Is all that crap worth it to dealer? Buyer? No one is going to win a lawsuit against a dealership that decides not to honor a previous agreement — written or otherwise — regarding price. You’re not going to get an injunction stopping them from selling the car to someone else, a court is not going to force a sale, and you’re not going to be able to prove any damages resulting from the fact that you couldn’t get the exact Bronco you wanted at the moment you wanted it. If you’re not a lawyer, you don’t know how to even start trying to fight this battle in court on you own, and if you are a lawyer, you know it would be a waste of time and money to bother trying.
