I guess for bragging rights it’s cool, but how many times do you really need to go 0-60 in 1.99 seconds? I’m not against EV’s, I’ll probably end up with one at some point for my commuter vehicle. But for me (after testing a Model S and Porsche Taycan), the thing that gets me is the lack of emotion or visceral feel that I get from my CTS-V. I love exhaust sounds, throttle blips, the sound of the engine revving… and that is just lacking in an EV. So while I can’t beat my brother in laws Model Y Performance off the line… I don’t really care because spirited driving in my car is more fun!

I knew I was completely over unions when a union leader, in an orientation meeting for a new account we had won (one of the big 3), not jokingly in the least bit, asked if his union employees would be prohibited from watching porn on their company provided laptops. Then, once we were on site performing work, the dozen or so union "reps" would sit in their offices sleeping all day collecting a pay check. That is, when they weren't sexually harassing our employees with impunity.

So, yeah, I have a shitty view of unions and the people who run them. It's a scam.

Good for you...I pay $20 a week in union dues, never went to college a day in my life and make 6 figures a yr. Healthcare $20/week. Im gonna retire in 4 yrs at age 55. Im a big fan of unions. Typically the people who hate unions A] have desk jobs that involve strenuous amounts of talking and typing or B] are angry at the world because they make $20/hr and think everyone else should too. Utility companies, UPS, etc....these are not sit on your butt all day behind a computer type of jobs... your example you cited is indeed not the norm, all the union members I know work their tails off and are rightfully financially rewarded for that.

as the others bring out additional EVs Tesla's profits go down. we've already seen a few rounds of price increases as a result, pre pandemic. Musk has a pattern, he's all in till he gets bored then it's off on another lark.

Someone already probably mentioned it but the claim fails to mention all of the conditions required to hit that speed which include special tires, a race track and countless other settings/conditions ie you can’t hit this at your nearest stoplight against a dodge demon….
