ugh.... this is one of the key things that makes me second guess my decision and periodically look at the competition with much nicer finishes. We spend the majority of time inside the vehicle, so this is important and should not be dismissed as, this is an off road vehicle, expect plastic, etc. Those excuses do not make much sense.
I see you're a Land Rover discovery driver. Did you not consider a base Defender instead? It seems like that's more what you're looking for. The interior of the bronco was intended to survive being in the rain with the top off. Hard plastics and marine grade vinyl are what you want in that situation. Especially if you have mud flying everywhere.

I will say for OBX and above it would have been nice to have the soft touch, faux leather dash and maybe more styling in the doors.
However I do understand the reason for the dash materials. It still looks and feels more premium than the Tacoma I'd ridden in last year, and just a smidge below the Lariat Ranger.

You touch your plastic dash a lot? Asking for a friend.
Yes, every time I need to touch button, turn a dial, adjust the AC, or interact with the car. Like I get everyone is excited for the new Bronco's but let's face it, I can get a vehicle just as capable for under $20k. If the fully loaded Bronco is going for over $60k I think a little better fitment on the interior isn't unreasonable.

That's the thing. It's not HARD plastic. It's flexible plastic. If it was hard and didn't creak when I touched it I wouldn't have an issue.

I like the Bronco, I think it looks good. I think it's functional and I plan on getting the Raptor version when they are released. That doesn't prevent me from realizing that the fit and finish on this vehicle is probably lacking.

This^^

While I love a nice set of leather seats like in a Porsche or high end BMW which also seem to last forever, I can't remember the last time I ever touched my dash other than to clean the dust off it. I never understand it when hearing journalists talk about how horrible hard plastics are unless we're talking about a base model Kia or something because the only things that need to feel decent in my opinion are: seats, steering wheel, shifter, door handles, and control knobs on dash. Unless I'm missing something are there really that many people out there that stroke/caress/pet or are constantly feeling their interior car panels? My only gripe with interiors is that many (Nissan especially) don't last long and start to wear heavily after just a few years, but this is more down to leather/fabric on seats and door panels not the hard plastics themselves as often.

Its nasty hard shiny plastic.

My 14 year old Volvo has nice soft touch plastic that looks and feels expensive. Even though the Volvo did (and still does) cost less than the bronco I have reserved.

For $60k, they should do better.

The irony is that the Bronco Sport's interior is better in many ways. From more expensive looking materials to memory seats.

Kind of surprised nobody here complains there is no vase on the dash for a flower arrangement.
If a $20k Beetle can have it, why not my Bronco? 😂

When I saw the Bronco in person, that was the first thing I noticed looking inside. It reminded me of GM plastics. Just a thinner, cheeper grade that will probably have white marks when it is scuffed. My Jeep definitely has a better quality interior plastic but that’s not going to stop me from trading it in on Bronco when it comes! I’m sure I will get use to it quickly!

So you are saying you are no longer getting a Bronco?

The Sport can't have the top off in rainstorms. I think a lot of people are forgetting the basic utility that the Bronco was designed for. Electric memory seats don't survive rain, just ask my 1995 dodge intrepid back in the day where I accidently left the windows down.

Looks fine to me, well within my expectation for the type of vehicle it is even at my $58k MSRP.

I like the "I'm offended you want a nicer PLASTIC in your $60k Bronco" posts. How did it go from "I want nicer PLASTIC", to "Why do you want a goat skin dash and real wool floor mats you f**king donkey. This is an off roader, go get a Bentley"?

I've been in some. I'll be honest it's not terrible, but I just think that at $60k I expected a little more. Like it's not "I wont buy it because of this" bad but it is definitely "I'm a little disappointed" bad.
