First, give me your best innuendo comments.

Now, I went ahead and switched to a soft top. It will be so much easier to go topless even with some of the documented drawbacks. I did this entirely to see if it’ll be built sooner. My goal is still Q1-2022, which is when I’ll need another car/truck. Will it be louder, hotter and colder in those seasons….sure. So I know that going in, just like all of the differences between a car and truck.

Yes, my plan B is still a BMW i4, but I read on that forum that a $1,500 deposit may be required. I’m out if that’s the case.

So it’ll still be a race to see when the Bronco gets here and even if I opt out later, then maybe it’ll be a little harder for the dealer to sell. 4 hours instead of 30 minutes.

Let’s see how this go….

If that’s what she said, my condolences. Topless might help. Otherwise, try the blue pill? 🤷‍♂️

Good luck and welcome to the soft top crew and good luck with getting a build date. From someone who has had hard top and soft top wranglers I don’t think you will notice much of a difference relative to hot and cold. Maybe a little less quiet but it never really bothered me. I like the option to go topless quickly wherever you might be when the weather turns.

Ditto! I feel the same way about the soft top too. Was holding onto that hard top, but changed when I kept seeing the soft tops rolled back and how easy they remove. Now I’m happy I made the Mic to soft top change and hopefully have it by late summer.

At a certain age, that switch may be made for you. LOL

I've been considering gaming the system with a plain jane Big Bend soft top build for my Grangetober reservation, just to see if I can get it built right away. But that does not play well into my long game. I'd rather wait and see how long that res will remain valid and useable and play it out that way.

Being hard is very overated and has caused me nothing but trouble in the past, advances in over the counter drugs allow many to pick and choose when and where they strike.🙈

I do believe many people will make the exact change you did. I know I am. Emailed my dealer Friday to make the change and haven't heard back yet, but it's also MDW

I want to touch on a point you made. The benefits of soft top. I always knew the benefits but for some reason was dead set on a hard top (first mod, then MIC). But it was my longterm plan to get that bestop top for the front row that cost a fortune, but for the quick top-free convenience.

But then you gotta ask yourself, why not just get a soft top then?!
Now that I'm making the change, I'm feeling very "duh Megan" 🤦‍♀️ (kudos to anyone who knows that reference)

This may be the only car I get like this, so I figure let’s go all the way. I might actually like it. 😂
