Anybody else thinking about cancelling if their build estimate is 2022?

I was actually surprised at how much room I had, got the Sport Off Road package, wanted a bit more 'Lux' but i got such a good deal couldn't pass on it, guy just kept adding incentives and knocking down the price. Finance guy was a bit surprised when I told him D-Plan :) took another 3K off.
So far I'm loving the truck. If The Bronco is this good or better, its worth every penny.

If I didn’t have a VIN and rescheduled build date, I’d consider it. Just really really wanted to take a summer trip and had a chance with the 6/7 build week. Now at 6/28, most likely will get pushed again……
I just got “the email” today pushing my build date from 6/21 to 7/5. You are not obligated to buy it once it gets to your dealer, so there is that if you choose to wait etc.

Your statement closely resembles mine... I not canceling and I know I'm gonna get one eventually but I may just skip my order when it arrives and buy one a couple years from now. Only problem is dealer markup in Hawaii will go from $1900 to $5500+ if people love the Bronco. If that happens I would be pissed I waited.
Dealer markup, oh heck no, but then again it’s Hawaii. 🤣

I spoke with my dealer last week and he said he has had a lot of cancellations already.

In general, the slower the rollout a d production, the more people will peel off the order train. Some out of necessity, some out of loss of interest. As gas prices continue to rise and economic uncertainty increases some will seriously rethink their de ision.

Whew....I’m curious, have you seen the new Defender? That thing is brutal on the eyes in person. Not good.
I love the thing inside and out... and the lady prefers the Defender over the Bronco.

Really? "Bruh?" What is this, the prison yard?

Bitch is a tease; move on... to maintain your analogy.

As for the "scripted" trail runs, even if they are scripted, those trucks performed damned well. I do wonder how a "script" can make Moab as easy for a Bronco as it is for a Jeep, regardless of the driver. If the truck can't handle the course, no amount of "scripting" will see it succeed.
Exactly. It's not like I'm going to go buy a new $40K Bronco and then go bouncing it off trees on "unscripted" trails just to prove a point. Lol.

Ford investors haven't been happy in over 20 years. You have to go back to the summer of 2001 when they last cracked $20/share.

I don't think most dealers are cancelling when someone backs out, so Ford isn't seeing any real difference. My salesman sent my deposit back, but said the Bronco is still mine if I decide to change my mind up until someone else decides to buy it.
My dealer told me the same thing. All the fence sitters at conversion were told to go ahead and order no risk in case they changed their mind.

Well, my lease goes back in 2 weeks. I have a moto and a Miata. If my life isn’t inconvenienced by not having a newer vehicle, I may just get nothing. Also the mpgs don’t sit well with me

As a Grang-tober order I always knew it would be 2022. I was kind of hoping for not later than June even with a bunch of the early reservations opting for a code 99. However, However given things like chip shortages, who knows what might happen. If it slips to 2023 I'll bail though since I don't really want to miss out on using it both this summer and next. Should that happen there's no doubt I'll end up paying a lot more for something else though.

This ^ I'm watching carefully. Tried to time up with end of my current lease, then maybe do a lease extension and then possibly borrow my parents car lol. But if it becomes clear it will be q4 of 22 or q1 of 23 I'll have to bail

Higher gas prices mean better economy. Only ignorant people think it’s not. Oil and gas make the world go round.
Right. I always drive more often and buy more gas when it’s super expensive.
