You can still build cars while there is a shortage. I.E all the completed F-150's waiting for chips in Kentucky.

The worst thing for a motor/vehicle is 'not to use it'.
Some owners of the 2021 Ford F-150 have taken to the internet to share that their trucks are already rusting underneath. According to Car and Driver, some owners received their brand new F-150 trucks with heavily rusted parts.
will my BRONCO be left to sit/patina and wait??

Unfortunately the bottleneck is going to be Webasto producing MIC tops. As of two weeks ago they could only produce up to 40 in a day and that’s only on a good day 😆. Obviously everyone is working hard to ramp production up but finding quality employees remains a huge problem.
I will volunteer to go help to built my bronco if that help .....

FYI it the mic top missing ... to complete my order no problem ... ship me my bronco and the top later...

lol...people by nature are lazy, want the easy route and don't think about tomorrow. This is 100% the fault of added unemployment. People would rather sit at home even with a pay cut than to work. Watch the idiots that want to add more months when benefits end all the while there are MILLIONS of open jobs and vaccines readily available for the ones who have been using the scared of Covid excuse. People aren't scared of Covid, they're scared of work.
People aren't scared of work for the most part. They just want to earn a living and not live in poverty.

Sounds like a supplier problem. Ford is working on it. But then again.....rear ends and the like are going to rust at some point

I modeled out a production run in excel, factoring in the two week shut down. Based on what we have been told, its a 100/day build starting 5/3, ramping up to 200/day by end of May. We've seen this in the snapshot of scheduled builds this week starting at 107 this Monday, and 133 this Friday. Keeping that trend, I magically get to 200 builds a day by end of May, as we have been told.

We were also told further ramp up in August running at full production. If i keep that ramp up trend, it works out to about 500 by August. I am assuming 500/day from there forward, and no weekends. Maybe its all a wash at 2.5k builds a week with some weekend builds. And rolling all of that up (without me finessing anything) my model actually spits out ~62k builds from 5/3 to the first week of December (Friday 12/3)....They said after the beginning of December, they will switch to 2022s...and that total volume is consistent with what we've been told. I am actually surprised the total number was fairly spot on.

Looking at my projected daily build schedule, at 5k demos (first up, for example), they are on track to finish ~5k demos by 6/22. Moving on to priority, that falls within 6/23 to 7/5 for 3k priority builds to be completed, after I delete out 2 weeks of production from the plant shutdown. So that also falls in line with priority build dates provided to customers. For the balance of the run, assuming 75% are allocated to FE, they will knock out the FE from 7/5-8/3. While building 2,400 non FEs (the balance of the 25%) during the same window of time. After 8/3, it's another 2,500/week until they hit a total of ~63k builds by 12/3

Do with that as you may. Lol

190k reservations, 67% conversion rate. 127k converted orders. 75% take rate on hardtop on the 4 door, and 2 doors are all hard tops, lets say 90% of all broncos have a hard top. Thats 114k tops. 40 MICs a day, 22 working days, 880/mo. Not bad...not bad...only 10 years and 8 months to complete the roll out.
2 out of every 1 people struggle with math!

Ha. My biggest read from all of this - on a personal level - looking at my model, is that if July builds are highly skewed to soft tops (non FEs), and FEs get pushed out to August...I would assume in the month of August, they would not exceed 75% of allocated builds to FEs (given they need to amass hardtops and also need to keep the build dates going and some non FE guys happy). Like that would be the more extreme example of them 'banging through' FE builds. Even then, it would take them 4 weeks to churn through 7k FEs assuming 75% / 2.5k/week...while the other 25% are mainly soft tops given they need the hard tops for the FEs. Naturally pushing out for example, hard top sasquatches to September build at the earliest. I.e. unless you are very lucky, the earliest you'd take delivery of even a Day 1 reservation / low allocation sasquatch MIC top is October. And even that would require a good bit of luck. Pair that with the additional ford workers Q4 I think that goes hand in hand with webasto coming out of covid restraints and producing. Certainly feel like Q4 delivery for loaded Sasquatch mic tops, limping into YE

Do you guys realize there are starving dying people in the world, and all you can cry about is where is your $60k Bronco? You will get it when it’s time. Ford will build as many as they can. Chill, relax, and enjoy the ride. Most importantly, stop complaining!

Ya ... but if that happened you would not be in America 😆

I guess they're estimating that by q4, the webasto issue will have sorted itself out or at least improved
Get out of here with that kind of logical thinking! :p

This morning Webasto changed their start/end times for shifts in final. Starting next week two 10 shifts.
Let's just say that didn't go well with the masses.
